Ric,
I believe Moore was a Soph. in '98. He did redshirt a year didn't he? If Moore was a Soph. then that means we still need the last time LK used a Freshman in a playoff game...and the Freshman had to have made some kind of impact on the game.

BRING ON THE CRUSADERS!![/color]

No purpled Moore was injured and redshirted prior to his freshman season. He played in '98, '99, '00 and '01. Are you really questioning me?  ;D

I will state it again.  There is NO WAY any team will beat Mount Union being one dimensional.  UNLESS, they have a lights-out defense.  It will NEVER happen.

What a message LK sent to the remaining teams in the play-offs.  "Mount Union is a passing team".  Hmmmm.......ooops!

Great to see CAP win.  Wabash.....another year as a pretender.  Maybe just maybe one of these years!  By the way, your "classy" coach is anything BUT.  Ask a certain ex-Mount player turned head coach about it sometime.

What an interesting day today.  This is D-III footbal at its best.

I'm sure Ric is correct, but just in case he isn't, then the answer would be Bill Borchert.

Great game today by the Raiders!  The team we saw today is Championship caliber!

Congrats to Cap.  Look forward to seeing you next week.

What exactly is the point of this? It was a close game. It's not like it was 66-0.

Why don't you explain it? Or are you just blowing smoke?

Ric,

Am I questioning you? Well kinda!  ;D As I read the story of the '98 Stagg Bowl it says Moore was a Soph. and gained 28 yards on 8 carries. And what about Borchert, would he qualify?

Pretender?  Give me a break.  You clearly didn't see a single down of today's game.  Today's game was a great game between two great teams that easily could have gone either way.  Cap made more plays today and deserved to win...you won't see any LG fan saying anything less.  Pretender.  Please.  Wabash was toe to toe with Capital for four quarters.  There's no pretending going on here.

And if you're going to call out Creighton like that, why veil your comments?  What's your beef?  Lay it out.  Or are you passing fourth hand information?  My guess is that you don't know the first thing about Coach Creighton.

You're a pretty poor representative of MUC football, skunks.  I hope the rest of the Purple fans aren't in your boat.

What a great game form Wabash. They are not a pretender. The game was a defensive strugle and Wabash brought their "A" game today just a great CAP defense helped win this one. I was very impressed with Wabash D.

Well if it wasn't Moore the answer would probably be Jason Hall.  But the answer is Moore.

Purpled the article says that because at that time Moore was academically a sophomore.  But he was a freshman athletically.  The MUC SID's office is not going to assume a player is going to stick around for a fifth year at a non scholorship school to play football.  Although it happens a lot.  For instance, Justen Stickley is listed in everything you read as a senior this year.  But he actually has one more year if he chooses to use it, that would actually make him a junior.

How dare you question me.  ;D

How can you forget his 95-yard run against Bridgewater in the '01 Stagg Bowl.  That would be four years later.  All you have to do is go to my site and see his playoff contributions in '98, '99, '00 and '01.  In his first ever playoff game, as a freshman, he returned the opening kickoff 90-yards for a touchdown against Albion.  That's contributing as a freshman I think since his early score gave Mount Union a 7-0 lead and they won 21-19.

The pretender statement is based upon the fact that as the #1 seed, undefeated, and with a D-III Gags trophy candidate at quarterback, you don't lose a second round playoff game 14-11.  Not that CAP doesn't have a great defense, and not that they aren't a very sound, tough team.  Most teams in the upper echelon of the OAC are just that.

The coach comment will stand as it is.  I had no right to say anything about it on here, but once I heard the story (directly from the person who was involved), I have been incensed that anyone would disrespect a person, and program that is Mount Union.

Enough said.

wally_wabash

No.  Not enough said.  You opened the can of worms, now you dump it out.  Either say what you have to say or take it back.  There is nothing more spineless than making veiled comments about an individual and giving the old "if you don't believe me, ask this guy" caveat.  Weak.

You could have thrown a blanket over the #1-5 seeds in the North region, and you know it.  You're way, way off base, skunks.  On all accounts.

Is that a "skunk" smell pun?

If you're not going to lay it out then don't be upset if no one believes you. Not enough said, apparantly.

We could throw a blanket over the whole NCAC and nobody would notice. Please go hug your NCAC trophy and wait for the score of the Cap-Mount game to decide where you might truely stand in relationship to "great" teams in D3. Plain and simple, you did not live up to a Number 1 seed, by losing to a "very good" Capital. They might be great, but they need to prove it Alliance next week.

Let's talk about teams that are still playing football.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
