they express their thanks and loyalty in ways that the guys don't so it was refreshing.

I hear ya. I always got a year-end present from the girls track team and I was the boy's coach
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Yeah hscoach,  considering CJ's high school girl's coach is in hot water for something along those lines, I am extra careful with all that stuff.  I didn't mean anything funny by it.  Because one of the girls that worked hard every day and never complained missed team photos due to a respiratory illness, I gathered the girls for a second team photo that I took with my camera.  I created a photo layout similar to what the girls paid for and gave it to her as an 8 x 10 and it not only made her day, it made her season.  The girls are just so much more coachable, attentive and open to active coaching.

But I'll never give up my football duties.  That's why I switched to a teaching career in the first place.

John Carroll must be really upping their commitment to football.

This from their advertisement on D3football.com for a Special Teams Coordinator:

"As the special team's coordinator, this individual will supervise a staff of 17 coaches in the implementation and execution of all phases of special teams. Duties include planning practice, playbook updates, film breakdown, game planning, play calling and motivation. "

That's the most serious commitment to special teams I've ever seen!  ;D

Anyone know how MUC's players did at the pro day? I believe an ONU player participated as well.

seventiesraider

On the subject of ONU guys, I see where Trusnik signed his offer from the Browns.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

reality check

Yeah Trusnik got a pretty good offer.  He was a restricted free agent so if anyone wanted to match the Browns, they would have received a second round pick as a result.  I didn't see that happening although it would have been even cooler if someone did take that offer because for him to go from undrafted free agent to second round value in just three years would be pretty cool.

I haven't heard anything about an ONU player at the pro day.  Unless it was an O lineman, I would have to think it was Josh Horn.  Most of the other big name guys at ONU should all be back in 2010.

QuoteLinebacker Jason Trusnik signed a one-year, $1.684 million contract Friday.

Pretty nice paycheck for a DIII player!

Hopefully Pierre will get his due when his contract is up.  He is currently making the League Minimum for a Second Year Veteran.

Have I mentioned that I'm jealous of your new name, kirasdad?  Its great.. +K

When it shows that Manuel Willocq was the last to comment on the OAC Page on the North Region Section, I giggle a little bit.  Could also be because of the beers consumed today also... and yes I'm at work, but its NCAA day and OK if you don't get out of control (we're a small office and its MY rule).

I would think Pierre would get a 2-3 year deal when his time comes up, but we will see!
