Not sure many Raider fans are making that trip, regardless of the method of transportation!

Actually it's only a drive to Chicago plus a fairly pleasant couple hours up into Wisconsin. My brother and I did the trip to Whitewater, but I don't have him to share the driving anymore and the years since then haven't been kind

About 400 miles from Alliance to Chi-Town.  I lived in IL when I went to MUC and made that drive many a time.

I "commuted" from Omaha, Ne for the first year till my parents moved to Cleveland. Guess I have a warped sense of what's far. I used to do that 817 miles from Omaha to Alliance in one shot

I think the drive "up north"( not to U of M) would be a pleasant drive that time of year. I had had my share of long commutes for over a year as well. I just do not think that many fans will do it, unless it was UWW!

Small but Slow....when in the D.C. did you happen to notice the drifts of snow in the shadows mixed in with the cherry blossoms?  I did.

Snow was gone and temps were in 80's while we were in DC.  The cherry blossoms were past peak bloom and falling off the trees giving the appearance of falling snow.  I was amazed by the number of Asian visitors in town for the festival and the reverance they show.  Some were overcome by emotion kneeling down in tears.    Despite the crowds we were able to visit most of the important sights in town.  Even had our subway trip from Mt. Vernon rerouted by shuttle bus due to a suspicious package discovered on the tracks near the Pentagon City station.

You guys keep talking about Tiffin like its a dump.  Is it?  My son was contacted by them and he said he wasn't interested in going to Ohio, until Mount Union came into the picture.

Actually it is an very attractive campus at Heidelberg, not dissimilar to Mount Union in the late 80's-early 90's.
For the most part it covers about 4 city block along one main street. It's smaller and is very friendly and has a great sense of community. The buildings kinda have a Heidelberg Germany feel to them

Tiffin itself is kind of a farm town, college town with Tiffin University just a cross the river. There are a lot of beautiful classic homes in the town and it's a pretty place in most neighborhoods. I have no problem with my daughter living there for four years.

Now Ada, is the official capital of nowhere. And the only thing I know about Wilmington is that there is a Giant Porn Store sign at the Interstate exit ramp that you can see forever. It's how I give directions to Wilmington, get off at the Giant Porn sign 8-) 8-) 8-)

BTW Heidelberg is coached by a Mount Union player turned Head Coach, the second one of those that Larry gets to face each season, the other being Dean Paul at ONU
