I agree the OTT guys looked bad- I thought the MTU guys were equally as bad leaving their sideline and charging to the midfield logo just before kickoff to escalate things.

You definately don't want to stir that pot.

And that it made Coach Kehres furious was not good either.

My guess is that the OTT players were trying to show the Mount players they were't intimidated by them. Which probably means they were. If a team is not intimidated, they will just show up and play.

If it's true that Mount players came on the field and confronted the OTT players, Coach Kehres was probably more upset with his players than OTT players. But either way, not a wise move by the OTT players involved.

He was indeed mad at his own players, point being, you (if your a player) don't want your coach mad before you even take the field

The Raiders play Ott in Westerville on 10-30-10, their 8th game. My guess is that the conference leaders will be identified by that time and there will be no repeat to 2008 pre-game activities. The question is what will each of their records be at that time? :-\

Watched my son's Youth Varsity (7-8th grade)  score at will over Ravenna yesterday(first play was an 80 yard run) and my son, the down tackle usually, catch a 25 yard pass in full stride. These guys made go deep into their playoffs and keep me away from most of the regular season. Of course, when I was at Mount, nobody stayed past halftime cause the games were usually over, (read we were usually getting crushed), I can come and leave at the half and still see a 4:00 youth game

OTT has replaced JCU as the team in LK's "special place".   :D

Jr. gets his cast off Tuesday for an x-ray.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE football gods let it be healed enough to play.  He has been acting like a 14 year old GIRL with all his hissy fits about not being able to play.  I may be disparaging all the 14 year old girls in the world with that statement.   :D

How come Moses wasn't in the poll up top?

If Moses is in the mix, then you have a 4 QB race, but in reality it will be a 2 QB race, IMHO! :)

Anyone heard what the outlook is for W & J this fall? The Raiders will see them on 9-1 for their annual scrimmage. They have had their way with the PAC conference until TMC rose to the top.

Looks like the Dominic Jones to Ott thing is official.  According to the article the DB/return man has 2 years of eligibility left.

OCF.com also featured a story on Jones this week.  I wonder if they'll try and get him more touches than kicks and punts.

I just checked ONU's frosh roster which is a little out of date but the incoming class features players from PA, IN, MI, (8 players from) FL, KY, AZ (although I had nothing to do with him) and of course OH.

Francisque Pierre-Jerome from Lauderhill, FL is an incoming WR.  Garcon version 2.0?  Hope so!

Who names their kid "Frank Pete Jerry"?   ;D

Having gone through some trials and tribulations in my life (none of the legal sort thank my lucky stars), I am all for giving a kid/man a second chance.  It will be interesting to see how the existing players at OTT interact with what appears to be a very talented, accomplished, tough guy.  Of course, after the beatings they have taken from Mount, any port in a storm?

I hope he turns his life around, there is more than football. But if Coach Loth and staff can help in this, that is great. I heard they got a TE transfer from Marshall too.

If Jones is still near the athlete that Minnie recruited out of HS, Otterbein better be getting him the ball on offense too.  A lot.   A stud WR/RB can affect the game a lot more than a DB.

Now, let's assume he plays only DB and punt/KO returner against Mount.  He figures to have about 7 or 8 potential touches if the game goes like the normal MTU/Otter game:
  7 kick-off returns
  1 punt return
  0 interceptions
;D

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Based upon the QB poll thus far, Matt Piloto "may" have a slight edge!  :)

I do not want the trophy! Please!!!

Does anyone know who has the OAC Captain Obvious trophy?  I think we might need to locate it.

I'm thinking Raider 68 is making a strong case for the trophy

Wait, wait, wait....

You're telling me a poll created for the OAC page in Post Patterns doesn't ultimately trump LK when choosing his QB?  Blasphemous!

I bet LK doesn't even know how to create a poll in here.  How can he possibly have final say?

I am pretty sure that goofball Saintsfan that used to post on here all the time has possession of the Captain Obvious Award right now.  Maybe someone knows where he's been.  Rock Stickler?  Any thoughts?
