moe45daddy-- Great question you ask!    I submit RUN FORRREST  RUUUNN! however, A bomb to Garcon ala Bret Favre in Super Bowl '96 might seriously tamper with some gametime aspiration as well. I guess the only question that need'nt be asked is........ What "D" will Mount Run! ;D

My GOD! I forgot a T in Brett's name! Oh well, No jinxing the Pack this year! the Damage is Done. >:(

jdean,

I think there is plenty left in Capital's tank, especially since this is the playoffs and the "juices" are pumping a bit.

I have no doubt Capital can get this one... no doubt.

Where is all of this talk about juicing coming from? Like Mount supporters have any room to talk!

JK started it.  ;)

Just thought I'd stick in my two cents about Saturday's game.  I don't think it's going to be as close as everyone thinks.  Mount is playing on level now that they weren't earlier in the year.  The defense has been absolutely incredible over the past few weeks giving only one TD in the past 22 quarters.  That dates back to the ONU game.  And don't forget they handled a pretty good Augustana team last week (they were ranked #10 in the nation).  Add that into the fact that Mount always seems to handle a team pretty well the second time they face them in a season and that's spells doom for Rocky and the Crusaders.  I think the score will be like 42-13.  Just my opinion.
The impossible CAN happen and eventually it WILL happen.

Very unfair Mike Jorris wasn't at least afforded Honorable Mention on the All-OAC team.He led the OAC in passing efficiency and had a lot to do with Casto and Garcion being the best recievers in the OAC.Considering he's a first year starter,he had a better year than Rocky and head to head with JCU;well;we saw what happened at the Shula.

OK, not sure who's got the Mr Obvious Trophy since its changed hands numerous times the past month but.... I'm sure after this weekend the OAC will be 31-8 in playoff  games, WOW!  ;D

OK saturday's score  Mount 35  Cap 14

Ajwassup

and just think that some of those 8 loses are against other OAC schools.  I dont know what the record is if u dont count OAC head-to-head match-ups but the winning % has to be near .900 then

Sounds good to me RT.  If it comes out that way, don't delude yourself into thinking 1999 will happen again.  It was once in a lifetime my Prof friend.   ;)

I am sure MU has improved but they have played a bad MT ST Joe team and a Auggie  team who's Dline was very soft.  They should of beaten them badly and they did.   Does that show great improvement I dont know.  I know having Garcon back at full health is an improvement in its self... without him they are a different team.  In the last  meeting Cap had chances to make big plays to extend the lead and wasn't able to take advantage.  This week they need to do that and eat up time so the D can play excellent football for 4 quarters not just 3.
GOOD LUCK CU!!

Moe45,

I have seen Capital play twice this year in person and have listened several times on the internet.  I think the first play of EVERY capital game this year has been a quick slant or quick out to Howes.  It seems that damn near every DRIVE starts with a quick out to Howes, Kraft, or Rankin.

Mount has been running that little inside zone play for years, since at least 1986 with Russ Kring at RB.

I think this game will be a lot CLOSER than most think.  Capital's D is too good for Kmic to go off like he did last week.  He may get 100+ total, but he isn't going to average the 9+ YPC he averaged last week.  Capital (mostly because of all the sacks) held Wabash to neg. rushing in the first half last week.  The OFF POY from the NCAC, who threw for 3,000+ in the regular season only threw for 190 yards.  Granted, there were some deep balls that were dropped or poorly thrown, but you all get my point.

That being said, Capital needs to find their offense fast.  IF they don't, it will be a long night.  I agree with the assessment that MUC won't score less than 24.  Somehow MUC, whether they are moving the ball on O or not, finds a way to put points on the board.  Whether t be experience, cockiness, or whatever, it seems that MUC always makes "THE" play.

My best guess... Cap 31  MUC 27
