HS Coach...yes they are better.  Cap lost to Otterbein and MUC barley beat a horrible BW team, does that make them bad teams?

seventiesraider

how do you spend Rowan-R E V E N G E

Moe never said that MUC's offensive line was the best he played against, he said they HELD him more than any other team!  ;)

There is a difference.

CuFan-If you have to send your last three game films to your playoff opponents would you go out and bury BW or run plays you have no intention of using. I personally tried to imagine the Mt Joes and Augie coaches trying to come up with a game plan based on the BW, Musky and Berg games

70's there is no need to explain anything to him.  There are a lot of knowledgable CAP fans, but it is obvious cufan is not one of them.

I suppose cufan will reply-- don't you think Cap has done the same thing ?

That is the FASTEST O-Line we faced all season not to mention probably (pound for pound) the strongest.  In my four years that has been the best MUC line that I have played against.

ALL O-lineman hold.  Just like ALL D-lineman use hands to the face.  It is a part of the game that NEVER gets called especially between the tackles.

I meant to put a smiley in there somewhere.....so here it is ;D

And if CAP doen't have five turnovers they win BIG!!! You can say if all you like but what is...is what is..

And "if" Mount wouldn't have had the TO's against Cap, then the first MUC/Cap game would have been a blowout too.  So what's your point?

I'm won't go so far as guaranteeing a MUC blowout win.  But I will guarantee that if both teams play their best, MUC wins.  If both teams play poorly, MUC wins.  It MUC plays well and Cap doesn't, MUC wins by 20+.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

No actually he'll probably share more on everything he knows about teams he hasn't seen like Mount St. Joseph and Augustana, or about teams he has maybe seen once like Baldwin-Wallace and Mount Union, yet knows so much about them

Too bad he can't just stick to CAP because by what he has said about MSJ, AUG, B-W and MTU it is obvious he doesn't know as much as he thinks he does.

I think the challenge for Capital and others will be how to defend Mount.  Mount can gameplan to pass OR run for 300+ on a week in week out basis.  I really haven't heard how someone would successfully gameplan to stop it...and I don't think trying to outscore Mount will work.  It should be interesting the rest of the way.

With Kmic's recent emergence, and the O-line's recent total dominance, it seems like we (myself included), spend a lot of time talking about how well CAP's D will do against Mount's O.

I think the bigger question remains, with Mount's D playing at a totally dominating level, how will CAP even score?  The D has given up 6, and 7 points in two playoff games.  That was against two teams with better than average offenses.  CAP has scored 21, and 14 points in their two playoff games.  When they played Mount the first time, they scored touchdowns on a trick play (double halfback pass), and a busted play where the RB pitched the ball back to Rocky when going down, and he took it in.  Not some well-oiled machine.  CAP's O will have to play at a level they have never reached this year to win the game.  Is it possible, sure.  Is it probable against Mount's D, not likely.

Ric

Skunks good points but I said this at the end of the regular season and I continue to feel this way, Capital is the best team Mount played this year in my opinion, including Ohio Northern.  I said all week leading up to CAP-ONU despite the game being played in Ada I thought CAP would win I was only surprised it took a field goal on the final play to do it.  I also was surprised by how close CAP's playoff game last week was and I know in talking with numerous Mount coaches prior to the Augie game they felt there was no question if they won their next opponent would be CAP so they were probably a little surprised by how close that score was as well.
