John Carroll is awful.

And what would that make Muskingum
: 3-0 over Wilmington, What kinda showing is that?

What adjective is worse than "awful"?

It was a good showing by a young Raider team today. I think a lot of sophomores and a couple freshmen grew up today. Some observations........

1) It was nice to see such a solid kicking game. Place kicking and punting were excellent.

2) The young defense looked aggressive and athletic and should continue to improve as they gain more experience.

3) My biggest concern is Seaman and the deep ball. There seems to be a lack of arm strength and too much air under deep passes. One of our strengths is our wide receiver's speed and yet in each circumstance when Cecil and others clearly had a DB beat, they had to stop and adjust to the ball to make a play. That speed advantage is neutralized if we can't hit them with the deep ball when they have got behind the defense.

Yes, UW-W too! The Warhawks starting FG kicker is 1-7. His backup (who started the first game) went 0-3 on extra points the first game and then broke his foot in a JV game.  Both are freshmen.  Thursday night UW-W had two kicks blocked, one punt and one field goal. The only saving grace is that the FG probably wouldn't have been good anyway!  ??? ??? ???

Long time NO READS...Kind of Like ONU's OFFENSE TODAY! Congrats Raiders! Sure miss the Fall at Mount....God's Speed to All~~~

Raider 68

B-W is 4-0 and most everyone is surprized. This year they have the benefit of 6 home games and their only tough road game is ONU in two weeks. If they get by Otterbein they could end the year at least at 8-2. Playoffs still unlikely with that record, but a huge improvement from 2009's 3-7 season. I give Coach Snell credit, JCU however is another story.  :)

I was pleasantly surprised how much pressure Mount's front four put on the Northern QB.  They ate the ONU line all day. Mount started two sophs and a freshman on the D-line.  Seaman played well but he consistently under throws Shorts.  Frankly ,I thought ONU was better than they showed yesterday. I sure didn't see an all-conference quarterback, or any all-conference linemen playing for ONU.  Mount did find  the running back they have been looking for and the offense should get better each week.

I think you need to use another word to modify the adjective, like God Awful or Freaking Awful of F***ing Awful.

And what is wrong with a late night meal at a Biker Bar?  Some of the best burgers I have ever had were in biker bars.

I think Murray looked good yesterday, but at the same time it goes to show we could put anyone back there and they could perform when you have Cecil, Miller, Jasper, and #5 (gotta learn his name!) spread wide. Hopefully one of these guys will stick.

As far as his running style, he ran hard, but seemed to bounce outside a bit too much. Against a playoff caliber D, he gets killed, especially on that play inside their own 1. He was really lucky to get back to the line.

I'll take RC's remark about not liking the Presto live stats and add to it. I don't like the Presto team stats. Way too much that isn't there, like participation. Sometimes it's nice to know what the game time weather was if you weren't at a game. I had to look everywhere for attendance.

BUT, nice video clips on the Mount site.

BTW-Brandon Brown is a nice addition to the receiver corps

Positive about Murray is that those feet keep churning no matter what. He does seem to have a good quick first step and burst

Amen.  Glad I gave up the pts and took Cardinals.  If I were a Carroll player I wouldn't admit it to anyone I knew.   :P

I've followed what everyone had been saying about JCU on here the past few weeks but really didn't think they could be that bad. I was amazed. Ott could have scored 70 easily. Most of JCU's offense came late in the game with the second D in. I don't know if they just don't have the athletes that they had 5 or so years ago but they just look like a completely different team than the ones I played against. Is the coaching issue up there really that bad?

Bein_86... Nice to see Trey get into the endzone. The receivers are starting to really come together and it's great to see

Thanks, he just can't stay healthy

I'm with you on that one, seventies.  I also like to see what the weather and attendance figures were for the various games.
