Some schools would have to have a hard time getting accurate attendance numbers.  ONU and the Berg come to mind with the new on-campus venues.  The only thing keeping ONU students from walking into the stadium from the dorms is a rope fence standing about 18 inches high.

Is it somehow better to throw out a guess of 6432 or 6400 or 6500?  A guess is a guess whether it's rounded or pulled out of one's own butt right?!?

True, but ending in 32 SOUNDS real, ending in 00 is almost certainly fake! ;D

Moral of the story - if you're gonna fake it, don't make it obvious! ;)

I have a different conversation with my wife all the time that always seems to end with me saying this too!!  ;)   ::)

might as well add my 2 cents or so.  wesley has done nothing to move to the top tier.  losses to ww and umu and mhb in the quarters and semis show they are a step below the top 2.  they are a good program, better then most as their playoff run is only surpassed by the top 2 in the last 5 or so years.  skunks sidekick and i have had several discussions on this topic and i agree with his assessment, it is not the talent that is stopping them from moving to the top tier it is the other aspects needed to move up, philosophy, coaching on game day, etc.  there is no shame in being in the 2nd tier, it makes for a fun time into late november at least.

I totallly agree with my good friend WD.  It has not been a skill/talent issue for Wesley.  After watching them last year, they can stand toe to toe talent-wise with the "big two".  However, it seems like they just can't take the next step needed to get to that next level.  From my limited perspective, it has been more about philosophy, game day decisions, play-calling, etc...

First-time poster, long-time reader, and Mount Union alum, (since there isn't enough UMU representation on this board  ;)).  I'm planning on attending the ONU - CAP game tomorrow since ONU is only about a 30 min. drive for me.  I'll be pulling for ONU to win out so they can represent at playoff time, but I'm thinking it might be a competitive game if the CAP QB is getting up to speed.  Should be good weather and ONU has a nice venue.

Welcome aboard 108,

Enjoy the game, HScoach has ONU winning by 14.5 pts. While Cap scored alot of points last week, they also gave up too many. This game could be close for awhile, but I see ONU pulling away from Cap. +k  :)

Welcome, 108.

Raider68, My gut tells me same thing.  I'm giving up pts to Cap and picking ONU to win by 15.

Live blog from the press box at Don Drumm tomorrow. Didn't know you could do that over two tin cans and a waxed string.

Going to try, yes.  You guys look really good on film he said. It will be a great challenge for the Cards to stay with you guys.

It's funny you mention that....one of my challenges (and there were several) as a coach was to keep my players from watching the wrong team on film--especially if they were really good!  We had to constantly remind them who we were playing THIS week.

Here's hoping BW-Otterbein is a good game, I wish I could do the Musky-Heidelberg trip, but I have another three weeks (at least) of 4:30 Youth games.
