I'm expressing my concern for the Mount Union cheerleader who, by having Muskingum and Saint Lawrence back to back could be looking at around 555 pushups in an 8 day period of time. :o

There is talk on the NCAC board that nobody shows the NCAC any respect. Please Polar Bears, do your best to prove them right. No Respect for the Rodney Dangerfield Conference

I think those ladies are in good enough shape to withstand that.  I'm also assuming you don't have any "not good looking" ladies on that squad. ;D :)

Glad to see you post (you've only done that lightly of recent as I recall).  Where have you been hiding?

The football team can recruit nationally.  The cheerleaders not so much.  And you need to remember this is still NE Ohio.

Best looking co-eds in the conference are at Otterbein.  And it's not even close.

Worst is a tie between Wilmington and Baldwin Wallace.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Nice wins last night by Lake and Mogadore.  Hopefully Marlington can beat Dover tonight and I can continue this string of radio double headers for at least another week.  That's assuming of course the Mount can sneak past STL ;)  Would feel better about Marl/Dover is the weather was crappy to take some of the air out of Dover's passing attack.

Nice article in the watertown paper about St. L.  The players are coming to the Mt. with the right attitudes.  However the reporter that wrote the article has Mt. with only six nat. championships.  Also a nice article in the canton paper on LK.   This could be his 300th win today.  Amos A. Stagg had 511.    GO RAIDERS!   My bad 507 for amos according to canton paper.

Watertown Daily Times  They do say, "...which has won six national titles and lost just five games since 2000."  not 6 "total" National Titles.

Bushman,

Coach Kehres will get his 300th today! I thought I read that Amos A. Stagg had 314 wins? ???

Hmmm, the All-OAC awards are announced and Lambert Budzinski isn't the OAC's best D-lineman?  Yikes.

Budzinski led Darbut in the following Stats:

Sacks:   Budzinski 14 (1st) -  Darbut 11 (2nd)
Tackles for loss:   Budzinski 16 (1st) - Darbut 15 (2nd)
Forced Fumbles:  Budzinski 3 (T 3rd) - Darbut 2 (T 7th (two others had 2 but in less games)
Total Tackes:  Budzinski 76 (T 11th) - Darbut (Not listed in top 50 in OAC)

And I'm fairly confident that Darbut had a large advantage in total plays and total playing time with Budzinski probably on the bench for most games in parts of the 3rd and most of the 4th quarters of UMU's games.

Head scratcher here  ???

314 for Stagg, yes. 511 is Cy Young!

HEY SEVENTIES,,

    GO MOGADORE !!!!

To be down 14-7 at the half and win 28-14 says a lot about these kids. Must be that great 7th grade gym teacher they had  8-) or maybe that they were National Champs in youth football in 2005.

According to what I can find, Larry will tie Tubby Raymond today and be tied for 10th in career total wins. I see Stagg at ninth with 329. Don't know why the difference. I have his biography around here somewhere

Re: Kent State

I just looked at the Golden Flash roster and there's not a single player from New Jersey.  99 kids on the roster and 45 hail from Ohio.  Two other interesting hometowns: Phenix City, AL and LaVerne, CA (Claremont HS).

Akron has five NJ kids.  Is that what you meant?
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)

MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

ONU up 9-0 in the first...

Simmons passing TD to Crawford and a safety after nice pooch punt by Simmons.

ONU has intercepted Zoeller twice.

UMU 14 St Lawrence 0 with 2:37 left in first quarter. St. Lawrence highly touted D has stifled two J Murray attempts for short yardage up the middle, otherwise...notsomuch.
