WITT was one of the most underachieving teams for being undefeated.  Soft conference....soft schedule....squeaked out some close wins against average teams.  They had a "signature win" against WAB (still don't know what happened there), but really played against their first tough opponent today.  The result was as expected.  No knock on WITT.......it was not that hard to predict.  ONU would have had to play really poorly for this to be a WITT win.

Is WWW toying with us, or what?

Starting extremely slow with a starting QB who's never started in College and who's only had 1 passing attempt before (a TD pass) in cleanup time before that eventually leads us to a 52-21 victory is a good first game imo.  ;D

NICE. (Some dear member of my marrriage covenant misinformed me of the final www score) What happened to former starting QB for the three W's??

Blanchard dislocated his thumb vs. Eu Clair.  Was dressed today but didn't play.

Man the rumors.  Blanchard warmed up, threw the ball well today at the Perk.  He could have played.   Brekke stepped up and played very very well in his first start.   Moving on to the second round.

thanks for the help, the 760 mile roundtrip tales a mental toll(add in in-laws, siblings, ugh
AND one criticism for ohio football... I've never seen as many penalties called in MONTHS of michigan games-
if you're gonna gyp the favored team-just givethe underdogs a 7-0 lead and the ball in midfield-call the game "straight up" after
that. Marlingtongot off a GREAT punt, ball down, whistle blown-THEN a holding flag, then re-kick(much worse punt, add in personal foull---just gift wrap the TD, get it over with. Mount union had MANY phantom penalties early-ok, the soph lineman jumping, I'm ok with THAT-many of the away games.... seems like refs think its up to them to keep score close(and NO I'm not a "third shooter in grassy knoll conspiracy nutjob)  anyway, thanks for the help guys

silly question (#1 for me on THIS board) anyone know where the mount union game will be televised? I see
NEXT weeks game is on both sunday and monday, but I must have gotten "helen keller" syndrome and can't find it
listed on sportstime OH OR the canton station

Btw,  mount sure made those guys look good by running it SMACK in the middle
of 8-9 bodies  semi-blitzing in the box-other than that a good solid game-I hope deiusel will play next week, and it looked
like #8 really got hurt, other than that?

as a michigan guy, ohio has me hooked on football in this state, going to watch marlington play in canton tonight

Looks like it is going to be replayed on Thanksgiving Night:

How many coaches win 300 of 325 games?  Larry Kehres just did it.
Congratulations to Coach Kehres and all the Purple Raiders who helped make it possible.

Zero. He's the fastest to 300, according to Mount Union's release.

Welcome to the OAC board +k! :)

Congrats to Coach Kehres and all his players who made his 300th win possible! The milestone and the accomplishment is beyond comprehension.
Let's win the rest for these playoffs! :)

UMUdad:  Welcome aboard.

On the penalties in the Marlington /Dover game, that was just crazy.  For anyone back in Alliance listening to Harry & I, the phantom calls were even more questionable than we said on the air.  It was very weird.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Congrats to Raiderpa on the open mic faux pas, but that was an exciting move on the punt.

Maybe our one St Larry fan can give us some background on the rugby punter. Given, even Mathie uses that when trying to place a punt in a spot but all I could think was keeping the ball away from Shorts and other Mount returners.

Congratulations to the long suffering Marlington fans on a very exciting win last night (in between the hankies)

thanks HScoach, and raider68-btw raider68 you and I seem to have something in common ;) and coach? those were the most
nonsensical, illogical refs in the marlington game I have EVER seen- im old, i played six years, watched my kid"s games for 13yrs, filmed/scouted for his high school team-i'm gonna buy the akson paper just to see what they say and the penalty situation was

AWFUL, trying to take a knee and you toss a flag
-ok, it's almost time for another flipping 380 mile trip home
FWIW the o-line seems to be reasonably healthy after playing 11 weeks and I have to say the o-line coach is quite a
character-here's hoping for NOT hideous weather the next few saturdays AND getting to see LK get 34 more wins (in person)

Sorry to report, wet snow is in the long range forecast. Something tells me you'll be there anyway
