I'm hoping to see Bethel here in December
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

How sweet it is to be worrying about possible semi-final opponents two weeks in advance, b/c UMU will sleep walk through the East.  ;)

Then again I suppose it isn't UMU's fault nobody from the East earns a #1 seed.

02 Warhawk,

You just take them one at a time regardless who it is, since the schools have no control on who they play. The Raiders' goal is simple , Just win it this year regardless of who is on the other side! That is the reason many of them returned, C. Shorts, K. Miller and a few O/D lineman! :)

There seems to be something wrong with the quote feature right now.  Everything is auto-quoting.

For this week I am a Ohio Northern Polar Bear fan.

For this week, next week and week four I am an Ohio Northern Polar Bear fan as well.  An all OAC Stagg would be different - and fun.

As fans we have that luxury.  I'm sure the coaches and team are focused on next week.

that's kind of my point..UMU has nothing to worry about (from a fan stand point) until the semi's.  All other fans of teams in any of the regions aren't looking that far out yet, b/c of who's still left in their region.

I am  ;D.  I know I'm on a lonely Island, but at least while I'm out here by myself, there's no one that can try to discourage me with pessimistic (realistic?) outlooks!  ;)

I just hope we beat Trine  8-)

UMUdad:  Welcome aboard.

-ok, it's almost time for another flipping 380 mile trip home
FWIW the o-line seems to be reasonably healthy after playing 11 weeks and I have to say the o-line coach is quite a
character-here's hoping for NOT hideous weather the next few saturdays AND getting to see LK get 34 more wins (in person)

UMUplayerdad,

We spent some time in Western Michigan. Our son graduated from Portage Central HS (one of the premier schools there, IMHO). He is also a Mount alum. I follow several of the MIAA schools as well. but as an an alum and former player, support the the Raiders always! :)

the kids  high school team is in same conference, know that school(and field) very well-both PN and PC were real solid this year-and, yeah, if the weather is crap" I'll still be there-haven't missed one game since he started playing in fifth grade-won't start missing games  now-and as much as I hate to say this the premier teams NOW are from that dam OK conference-our kids get it handed to them by east grand rapids, and I think kzoo schools been getting pounded by lowell(who usually loses by 3-7 pts to EGRduring regular season)but, yep, PC is always tough, makes playoffs usually- set a "family along" timerecord on trip home sunday-5hrs, 380 miles-try that with a wife, mother in law,  in a vehicle, now in sports car, alone, in "oh crap. I'm gonna be late" mode, I've shaved more than an hour  off that-and stayed out of handcuffs, you gotta LOVE radar "jammers"-those and I-zoom passes arre two of man's greatest invenentions recently......

.....now, who was it that teaches the "how to" class in quoting???  Welcome to the boards, UMUplayerdad.

HSCoach, time for you to offer the PP Quoting 101 class again.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

ugh, my wife semi-banned me from forums in genera until recentlyl-I suppose the straw that broke THAT camel's back
was in a local rivalry board feud, my kid was accused of "roid use" GEEZ, he had semi-moobs then as a barely 14yr old sophomore-and was a tad uh, "tubby" up top-I thought roids FIXED moobs?- anyway, I suppose I lost it @ that point  and posted a pic  of me loading a ball bat and a yard axe into trunk of my car, asked the big mouth to go for a beer and talk....
was a bit of a scandal-maybe the yard axe WAS over the top
long story short, that WAS 4-5 years ago, and i think forums have advanced/changed a bit since then so my posting skills might be rusty of course I got a lifetime ban from that high school forum-as an aside, anyone from the board going to the game saturday? I'll be easy to spot(hear actually), I found my unusual noise
makers from his high school games-hey all that can happen is I get told NOT to use them- I bet you can hear them from sheets gas station

If I'm there. I'm always standing along the south wall on the home side of the main entrance. I'll either be wearing black jersey 99 or purple jersey 66. I may be late given I have to do an Akron to Steubenville for the Division 6 high school semi-final game in Friday night. Win, I'll be to the Mount game, lose, I might not get out of bed on Saturday :P

I said UW-W should be underdogs IF the other poster's assessment is correct in that NCC's defense is as good as Mount Union's and their offense should be as good as Mount Union's.  I indicated that was the strongest assessment of NCC I have heard. Defense, maybe, maybe not. Offense? hmmm.....

But even if he was right, since when does being an underdog=defeat? :)
