Raider 68

The Raiders come away with a big win today over a tough, big and hard hitting Delaware Valley team. Their QB gave 110% on every play! Most impressive win for the Raiders and the defense keeps getting better! :)

Yep, good to see you too, HSCoach.  Seventies, I saw you from a distance but I was too warm to come outside.  Wussy. :)

one more thing? I am a big fan of #36 staying in to block, he kicked the snot out of a couple of those blitz loving 'tards. and I wonder when the last time del was held without a TD?

About this time last year when they lost to Albright in the playoffs.

Mount Union and next week's opponent, Alfred, have a common opponent.  Alfred beat St. Lawrence 24 - 16 early in the season.  8-)

70's, +k for standing in the cold!
In the booth:  Ric can do play-by-play, Hscoach can do color, and you could do cranky!  ;)

A few thoughts on today's game...

Mount's "D" just beat down DV's offense...Hatty will be a very sore kid for a few days and might have nightmares.

Good play by DV's "D" but we made them look better with 2 fumbles and running up the middle on 4th down (with speed to go outside I'm not sure why we would try up the middle).

A few of DV's players talked a little too much and as the game wore got a "talking" to by a few of our fans.

A good game for us to play at this point in the season...helps those sophomores grow up even more.

Larry made the statement in the press conference that he didn't perceive a whole lot of opportunity to run laterally.

The Del Val QB is going to know tomorrow what it's like to wake up in an arthritic body like mine.

T'was cold today in Dover,,even colder if you played offense for mont state. They looked like a lower to middle OAC team.Next weeks umhb vs Wesley should be a good game to watch.Wesley played with great focus today,,and fewer penalties,,and only one dumb one.

Alfred has a freshman back with over 1300 yards this year.  They like to run.   Colors   purple and gold   defense appears to be fair.  question is can they match Mt's speed and have they seen anyone like cecil this year?

Here's the first paragraph of an interesting story on D3football.com:

CORTLAND, NY – The Alfred University football team defeated SUNY Cortland, 34-20, Saturday afternoon in a second-round NCAA Division III championship tournament game. Alfred (10-2), the sixth seed in the tournament's East Region, advances to the regional finals next Saturday, Dec. 4, at noon at top-seeded Mount Union College.

I was already tired of the new University of Mount Union.  I'm glad it will be good old Mount Union College this week.
