Did ONU spank Westminister or what?  Nice job P-Bears.  :)

Tough to see Monty lose his first game.  At least
Marietta did the OAC proud.  Congrats to the River People.  Hopefully, someone from Marietta will show up on board this year.

Etta has had a good representative since last year in "pios".  He posts regularly and keeps us all informed.  And yes, it was good to see ONU open things up.  Hostetler and Midlam are every bit as talented as the Hauslers.  Those are four incredibly talented DB's.  Next week against BW should be a good measuring stick for the Polar Bears.  I know they want revenge for that embarassing showing last year and they will be happy to get things kicked off back on the Tundra.

How old are you? 12?  4 emails last night?!?  Come on.  Don't tell me to lighten up and then fill my inbox with junk mail.  You are coming off as a mere nuisance to me at this point.

Some thoughts on the Marietta game.  Marietta held E & H to 177 yards of total offense, this was to a QB and crew that averaged 300+ passing yards a game last season.  They also held them to -6 rushing yards.  I was not at the game, but talked to people who were and it sounded like Etta started slow with a new QB and then brought in last year's starter who threw for nearly 200 yards and a TD.  Wagner seems to be the mainstay of the offense carrying the ball 37 times for about 150 yards and a couple of scores.  It sounds like the defense has improved this year upon last year.  The defense was led by two sophmore d-linemen that recoreded a safety to open up the scoring and Banks at safety had an interception that set up a TD in the second half.

I thought the board would like to know that the infamous Doeder said his wedding vows this past weekend.  It was actually a great wedding and an incredibly enjoyable time.  He married a great girl (seriously, he did).  So, this will be one of the very few times when I will publicly praise my ill-witted friend.  May Doeder's new marriage be happier than those who read his posts.
One catch-- now that he has concluded with the wedding, he may have more time to post.  My sympathies,

4u:  So Doeder found a blind and deaf mute to marry him, eh?   Congrats!  Proof once again that there is truely someone for everyone.

For the future of mankind though, please tell me that the new Mrs. Doeder is barren.    I cringe at the thought of him reproducing!

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

If everything I read is correct, Tom Arth is on the practice squad in Indy.  They only kept two QB's (Sorgi & Manning), so he'll likely get some real work despite the fact that he's not on the 53-man roster.  If I hear anything, I'll pass it along,

rc,
thanks for the reminder about pios!  I spend too much time reading boards like ndnation.com watching Charlie Weis & Co, since I have a son there.  You wouldn't believe the number of sites ND fans have for football, if you've never checked.

pios,
thanks for the ett/e&h game info.

welcome mrs. doeder (!) and best wishes (if you're listening).

Great win for the Crusaders!!

What kind of speech do you give a team at half time down 41 and then post game when your next game is vs Dayton.

Looking forward to the Otters in 2 wks.

I don't know if this was the article you found but I figured it wouldn't hurt to post.  They seem to be painting the picture of Arth as the unofficial third string back.

Witt finally got what was coming to them. For years they have ruthlessly run the score up on teams.Justice has been done to them by one of their own.

I've got to agree with you; it was good to see the Bears go out Saturday and put some points up.  Westminster started out trying to run the ball and be physical, and Northern stuffed the run and smacked'em.  When they tried to pass Northern, had great pressure upfield.  Northern's experienced O line was evident.  they ran the ball pretty well all afternoon.
You are right, the measuring stick will be B-W.  Its hard to gauge a team's performance until they play an OAC team.  Westminster was solid, didn't play sloppy, but were outmanned.  They may have gone 5-4 or 4-5 in the OAC.

A question for any of you Crusader supporters; what happened to the running back Bainum?  Didn't see him on the roster.

ohiofootball-- judging by your number of posts, the only thing that IS OBVIOUS is you were not involved in recruiting discussions of months ago.  I was just commenting on how pleased I was that a couple of these young men from down here in FL may be able to contribute to Mount's program.  About a month ago I was asked if I could give anymore tidbits and I declined, stating they will demonstrate their skills without my commentary.  Some have done so thus far.  A couple have not.  Just shows how tough it really is in D-3s better programs. ( even if you came in with high expectations from  a so called higher level) For those who were involved in these posts, I'm sure they understood what I was eluding to.  Here's hoping the OBVIOUS continues!   ROLL~~RAIDERS 8)

(Just having fun, I'm not as adept as 4u with these name twists but I try)

He was nominating you for Mr. Obvious for saying that listening to a game on the internet while being interrupted by phone calls is not the same as being there in person.  ohiofootball has been on the board since like 2000.  That would make him a dinosaur in Post Pattern years.  (Ric, 4u, hscoach and others are older than dinosaurs, yes)

Hey Ric
Just a question..I noticed Trevor Bruney and Joe Bugara are not listed on the Mount roster. Any info available. I didn't think they were seniors.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!
