Okay, seventies, Raider, Warhawk, and the rest of you:

Who are you "rooting" for (and/or think will win) in tonight's FCS National Championship game - Delware (and former DIII coach KC or vastly improved Eastern Washington?  Game tiime: 7 PM on ESPN2 (hooray!  I get that channel - glad it's not on ESPN3 ;D)

Are any of those teams purple?  :P

I'm "rooting" for our old nemesis KC and Delaware.  After all, a Blue Hen is very close to a Purple Chicken. :D

Formerd3db,

I hope Delaware wins, but their uniforms( Wow, the colors are bad) I know you like the helmet design! ;D ;D

I root for who ever is playing against KC  :D Always have, always will.

Seventies:

That is 4 against you - rscl, Raider, Warhawk and me! :D  Anyway, it should be a good game whoever wins.

And Raider68, indeed, I like that helmet design.  You Ohio guys have to give me a break because...unlike some other Michigan fans, you know I do like Tressel and I do root for your Ohio State and him (except against us!) ;D  Two hours to FCS championship game time!

D3football.com front page story on Tuesday said that.

Texas vs. the Nation, also, if he chooses to attend. But holding out for Senior Bowl.

I used to loth KCK...but now I have a lot more respect for him.  He has made his bones, and he's one of ours.  I hope he wins tonight, AND gets the UCONN job.  That would be a win/win.  (JT...aren't you proud of me?)   ;)

Well, there you have it.  Just reported that Jim Harbaugh has agreed to a 25 million dollar 5-year contract to be the Head Coach of the 49'ers of the NFL.  While most of us knew he wouldn't come back to Michigan, still I'm slightly disappointed he didn't stay then at Stanford as I think he had a chance at potentially becoming one of the great college coaches in this era if he had stayed at the collegiate level and really get Stanford to being even better than they are now.  However, I certainly understand the $ (although he really doesn't need it and Stanford had offered a VERY good $ deal without question), the chance to be a head NFL coach like his brother and the challenge of trying to bring back SF to prominence.  Yet, SF has not been exactly a hotbed for it's last several head coaches - Murriuci, Erickson, Nolan, Singletary couldn't turn them around and got fired; and the way the NFL is, that will probably happen to Harbaugh.  But...he has played in the NFL and thus, knows the mentality of those type of players.  The trick will be to see if he can get them to follow him.  Much, much different than working with college age players.  Nonetheless, I wish him the best.  Won't it be neat to see the Baltimore/SF games?  A great but rare experience for them and the fans.

I can respect that seventies. ;)  I see though, that he is not wearing them tonight. ;D

Anyway, Delaware has looked pretty good so far, but EWU is a very good team.  It will be interesting to see if Delaware can keep up the intensity through the second half and/or if EWU starts to explode...or implode. ;D ::)

Yeah, when I saw that, I kind of started to root the other way! ;D

But...you got your wish as Delaware was the team that imploded.  They had the game and gave it away.  Their offensive line who was crushing EWU the entire 1st half was a sieve during the second half and IMO, that is what lost the game for them.  Give EWU credit - they didn't quit and won like they have all season i.e. at the end.

What can we say about KC Keeler's team except:  Typical, typical, typical.

Formerd3db,

Only saw the first half score and then the last 4 minutes of the game. Delaware was two different teams, but EWU came back. Congrats to them! :)
