Wow, that was difficult to read and incredible inspiring all at the same time.  The program is lucky to have someone of Coach Hawald's quality to help steer them all through these troubled waters.

During this sad time for the Gorman and Mount Union family, it is very comforting that so many the the Warhawk faithful and others have been so kind with their words. Beyond the athletics, people and their kindness really matter! Thanks so much.

Dan Gorman was a fine man who loved sports and the athletes who competed.  He will be missed by all who knew him.  He was a tremendous leader in the sports medicine program at Mount Union and a fine man.  I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to know him.

Admittedly, I can't add anything more to the already posted sincere condolences and wonderful tributes that have been posted here regarding the tragic loss of Mr. Gorman, but I join in the same to his family, friends and all of you colleagues for the loss.  It is a painful reminder of the tragic Bluffton University bus accident in recent years; yet I hope that faith will sustain everyone here including the Gorman family and also the entire Mt. Union "family".

That letter was even more impressive when you remember that Coach Hawald is still in his 20's.  Having quality people like Dan Gorman and Coach Hawald impacting young people's lives is why I'm always proud of my alma mater.  Thoughts and prayers for the Gormans, the wrestling program and all the kids Dan inspired on a daily basis.

I'm still hoping Lake's Jimmy Luther ends up in Alliance.  Big time HS RB getting looks from MAC schools blows out his knee and plays anyway?  That story sounds familiar.  Maybe Chuck Moore can drive down the street and talk to him!

A Fox Sports Radio draft guru (I didn't catch his name and wasn't paying close attention) mentioned Cecil as an "up and coming" prospect for the Senior Bowl.  He projected him as a potential top 10 receiver in the upcoming draft since he comes from a proven and sophisticated passing game.  The opportunity to play in the all star games and more importantly practice in front of pro staffs can really help him if he does well.

The Mount Union Board of Trustees has voted to name the athletic training facilities after Dan Gorman, to honor the program he built and the legacy he leaves.  A very fitting and popular move.
