John Carroll played hard but only had 8 girls who saw any floor time while Mount Union played 13-14 ladies and kept fresh bodies in the game. Raiders ran, pressed, and ran all game and by the end JCU had nothing left in the tank. Congrats to our ladies and here's hoping they can get to the Sweet 16 again.

Happy New Year Runyr

Congrats to the Raider Women's Basketball team on winning the OAC and the Men's Wrestling doing the same!

Watching Cecil at the combine ...  He's ranked third in the bench press and looking solid in the drills.

mr_mom,

Hope all is well with you! I saw Cecil run his first 40, did a 4.59 which was not his best, but he will have 2 tries. :)

Not watching it - but following best I can online. Cecil posted a 4.53 in 40. Was really hoping he would be sub 4.5. I know he is fast but I think a 50/60 wld be a better gauge on him. I never thought he had the burst like Pierre.

He definitely wasn't one of the fastest ... I wonder if he has fully healed from the injury which kept him out of the Senior Bowl.  Much better hands than Sanzenbacher.

And for all those haters who said MUC/UMU should move up a level, ESPN has Mount Union as a member of the Big 12 conference.   :o  http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft/player?id=26160

The link didn't work for me.  Were they a replacement for Nebraska? :D

They had PG85 listed as Big12 when he was at combine as well.

Big 12? Wouldn't that be the Mountain Union team the bloggers claimed CSIII played for

No, they play in the Mountain West. ;D

Cecil Shorts had a pretty solid combine. Among 46 WR's he was

- Bench press - 3rd

- 3 cone drills - 4th

- Top short shuttle - 5th

Did not see how he finished exactly in the 40 yard dash, but it was around the 4.5 sec. range.

Congrats to Cecil! :)
