Article from the Jacksonville paper:

Terry McDonough, the Jaguars' director of player personnel, said that at the East-West practices, he was talking with Smith and believed Shorts was "the best guy here."
McDonough added, "Then, luckily for us, he went up for a ball and pulled his hamstring on the second day. We were like, 'Thank God,' because the kid was showing out. There were enough eyes down there. If he played in the game, if he kept doing that, he wouldn't have been there in the fourth round."

The reinstatement of the lockout means teams are unable to contact undrafted free agents and invite them to camp. So Preston, Miller, etc will be forced to wait. Very unfortunate

If Richie Petitbon,  Dave Krieg and Jim Hart are the most famous #17's. I say 17. Lots of room to make that number proud

In response to earlier posts and questions--this is what I have been told:

Chris Denton--from Norwich (Pierre's old school)

Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

Also was told that Seaman didn't do spring practice due to an injury, but that he should be healthy for fall.

Sad that is the end of "Seaman to Shorts" jokes. :o ;)

Gonna go out on a limb and say he runs a 4.48 40.  He just looks like a 4.48 to me.

Imagine how good he could be if used two hands when he can and should.  He looks impressive though.

For those Mount posters who've followed the Purple Raiders forever, does it seem like Mount is getting a higher number of top quality transfer talent than it used to?  Seems like since Pierre came over the door has opened.  (I know about guys like Kern but the impression I am getting is that it's a newer phenomenon.

OK this kid is far from a D-III recruit but I just saw his highlight tape and thought I would share.  He's headed to Auburn and played here in my neck of the woods for Chandler-Hamilton.  Hamilton played at Massillon Washington in 2006 for their only loss that season.

They should call this kid IHOP because all he does is pancake his opponents.  Imagine having to go up against him every down.  I will say he doesn't really stick to his blocks but you don't have to when you throw them four yards down field on their back.

Curious to see reactions.
