The kid coming to/here at Mount seems rather thick, with average speed at best.

Look....if this kid can't be a 3RD ROUND choice in the NFL in a few years, Mount really doesn't have a need.  I mean come ON....we have standards!   ;)

I hope the young man can have a great college, and football experience at Mount.

Good luck CD!

Also was told that Seaman didn't do spring practice due to an injury, but that he should be healthy for fall.

Sad that is the end of "Seaman to Shorts" jokes. :o ;)

Good!  I believe that was the main reason my 14-year-old stopped listening to MUC (sorry, UMU) games with me.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

I'd be careful throwing the Denton kid into the Pierre/Cecil class.  He looks like a good athlete at WR, but he will be facing a huge step up in competition in the OAC.  I have no doubt that Mount's returning WR core of Brown, Collins and I believe Claycomb for the 5th yr would have equally impressive film in a league of that caliber, if not more impressive.  Looks like a good athlete and welcome to Mount if he is indeed transferring

Third-day gem: WR Cecil Shorts is from small school Mount Union. He is a nice possession receiver who could be their third receiver in 2011.

Safe to assume that AJ will return.

Mount's receiver group will be fine for 2011. A potential addition of Denton will help the returning group. Hopefully Kyle Miller's successor can attempt to fill some big shoes.

My question is who will be throwing to them, Seaman or Piloto or both? :-X

Since I moved here in 2005, I've always thought that D3 would be a fit.

http://m.news-graphic.com/mobile/news/article_88b5d384-7508-11e0-b98a-001cc4c03286.html

They have a great football facility, courtesy of the Bengals doing Training Camp there (http://www.georgetowncollegeathletics.com/f/Facilities.php).  Although, the Bengals left Wilma when they moved from NAIA to D3.  Wonder if they'll do the same to Georgetown?

If approved, and I know that it would take several years, this would give Kentucky 3 football playing D3 schools (Centre and Thomas More are the others, Transylvania is D3 (HCAC) but does not offer football).  I suspect if Georgetown is approved and the transition goes smoothly that several other KY NAIA schools (Cumberlands, Pikeville, Union to name a few) will pursue this.  Might not be too long before we see a Kentucky based D3 conference, which would offer a great opportunity for some relatively close to home non-conference games for the OAC, HCAC, and PAC schools.

So much for Twitter or Facebook  as a reliable source

When were either social media sites celebrated for their reliability?
