What really gets me is that now Pryor just walks away from it.  Screw the athletic department, screw the football program and staff, screw my teammates, screw the university.  The hell with all of you.  I'm outta here.   You'll never convince me that he didn't know what he was doing was against the rules and jeopardized the university and the football program.  He has to be one of the most self-centered, selfish athletes on the face of the planet.  Why in god's name someone with Tressel's reputation would lie for someone as selfish as Pryor is beyond me.  And Pryor will walk away without a second thought.  It disgusts me.

BINGO!!! Well said...he just walked away from the scene of the crime. Went somewhere safe where the NCAA can't touch him.

Wonder if Reggie Bush offered up some advice on what to do :P

A lot of people are making assumptions that these stories are all true.  I know for a fact some are not true.  Theya re quoting felons and other disreputable people and not checking their "facts"  they get repeated enough times and now it is  the assumed truth.  Now I haven't checked tis fact but according to an interview yesterday Pryor flat out stated he got nothing from this guy on the autographs.  No money nada.  OSU has access to players bank accounts.  If there was anything going in there that shouldn't have (checks and large ones at that would be seen) they would know about it and it is an open record.

Also it was said  that Prior owned three cars while at OSU A Sonata, A Dodge Charger and a MX350.  The first one died (he got that while in high school)  His mother bought him the second one in Jeanette and it had a new engine put into it while he was at OSU.  The last one he got a month ago.  His payment is less than $300 per month and the car has eightysome thousandf on it.  Not exactly a rich kids car but better than I had in college.  When the problems came up with the two first cars the dealers gave him loaners.  I doubrt they find anything from this.  Of course the common knowledge that is getting reported is that Pryor had new cars given to him and free cars to drive etc.  Not quite the truth or even close to it.  The mass media today is only there to sensationalize things.  In sports and in politics it is wise to think that most of what you hear is not as it is reported.

Then why choose to run away from everything now? Have to admit...it looks guilty as hell.

reality check

Not a comment on his guilt or innocence but he (Pryor) will be the bullseye for most OSU faithful regardless of how all of this plays out.  I read that he would be a "scapegoat" that it would be an unhealthy environment for him to stay in and to some extent I see how that could play out.  Leaving doesn't fix anything but it keeps him from being a villain on campus day after day.

When Ohio State landed him, part of me was excited about what he might be able to do but another part of me feared for how it would all play out because Terrelle Pryor is not the type of kid OSU usually targets.  The Buckeyes rarely pursue (let alone land) such a big personality or ego and Pryor's attitude and maturity as a high school senior offered a sign of what was to come with how he handled himself as the leader of a major college program.

I am not surprised he has left but I am also not completely surprised that his time at OSU didn't end all roses.

Might want to check you source about Pryor's latest car.  Film at 11 showed him driving a Nissan 350Z.

You are correct I miss typed on the model.  The value of the car is between 11 and 15K  I think the inteview with his attorney said he paid $13 or 11.8 I cant remember which either one is close to the correct resale value for a private deal.

RE: all this OSU nonsense

please know that the only reason that Tressel and Pryor left the OSU program was to protect the current players.  Despite all the rumors and departures from the program, there is absolutely no funny business going on at OSU.  Its all just a misunderstanding.  The players named in the SI article actually meet at the tattoo parlor on Sundays before church.  Its a midway point between campus and a wonderful church. They are choir boys for the church just around the corner, what great kids these guys are.  And the whole Pryor driving a bunch of cars, he racks up so many miles driving the elderly about Cbus its no shock that his cars are always in the shop.  If he couldn't get a loaner, I don't know how grandma Eunice would ever get her groceries.  Hopefully those bad SI and ESPN and NCAA bullies leave Cbus pretty soon so the guys can go back to helping the community.

Maurice Clarrett sad it all, "It's all the player's fault" and who better to make a comment on a mess like this. It must be all that clean air (or cow poop) in Omaha that cleared his head. ;D :D ::)

purple,

Had a meeting at Mount last Thursday and was told that the Coaches are really excited about how the WR's and QB's look thus far this summer. Just confirms your earlier post! ;D

you can't always believe everything a felon says

Mr. Ypsi

And if they are a felon, obviously the judge (and/or jury) didn't! :D

But don't forget also: even 'saints' are not always right; even a Hitler can't be wrong every time (even if only by accident).  Who said something is definitely worthwhile evidence, but it alone proves nothing either way.

There is a rule against the admission of hearsay evidence, albeit with many exceptions.

The higher they stand, the farther they will fall. Nothing is what it seems anymore.  What a sad situation.
