Sweet.  Maybe Nike can hook up the Raiders like they do with Oregon!

I guess the purple guys of summer just smoked the D1 athletes of Akron U in 7 on 7 this afternoon.  No UMU coaches in view. :)  Word is the Akron guys were big and very athletically skilled, but our guys were (not today :)) a well-coached group and ran circles around them.  Our speed was there, receiveers outran their backs. and Akron's big offense couldn't get anything past Chaz Jordan and our defensive backs.  Lots of trash talk at first, then Akron guys got quiet.  Wish I had been there!

Forget about 7 on 7's!  Seriously?

Pat - I think it would be pretty cool for D3football.com to do a very/fairly/barely in-depth piece on the upcoming efforts of Team USA in the IFAF (International Federation of American Football) championships.

Coach Kehres......Nate Kmic.....Luke Summers......Lane Olsen......Eric Raeburn.....and I didn't look any further.

D-III is respresented very well.  I wish I had the time and $$ to go.  I always wanted to see Austria.

reality check

In addition to the Mount players listed above, Team USA is also represented by Otterbein (Ricardo Lenhart - WR), UWW (Lane Olson - LB), Occidental (Daniel Tromello - DB), UMHB (Derrick Williams - DB Coach).

MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

I have not read any comments so far in regards to the $25 fee per season ticket...any thoughts people? Is Mount raising ticket prices at the door? Mount must be in a financial bind to assess a PSL (" a capital improvement fund to replace the artificial surface at Mount Union in the future.") Not a fan of this development folks.

Me either but it looks like an annual fee for the foreseeable future and beyond. Like most taxes (errrr assessments), once they start they seem to stay for good.

I can live with a general ticket price increase (it is still a bargain) but if those w/o season tickets continue to pay the same ticket price as last year and this is a fee for season ticket holders only, I will most likely give mine up and purchase tickets on a game by game basis since I usually cannot make it to every home game.

I could understand a $25 fee per account, or a one-time thing, but per ticket seems like a bit much.  The fee alone is more than my season ticket was last year.

I received my season ticket letter on Thursday was struck by the fee. One week ago, I contacted the ticket office due to a change of address and was told they did not have the letter ready as yet, but would be coming soon.

My take:

- For season ticket holders, it is a required donation ( letter does not say or imply it, but what about a deduction)

- Why not give a more advance warning, money due 6-30-11

- Raise the ticket prices for all and take out some for the field turf replacement

- The amount is, as mentioned before, a bit steep for these times without a little more notice.

- Mount will see a reasonable drop in renewals, IMHO ::)
