Raider 68,

I agree, if MUC would have came out and asked for a donation for the turf project I would have probably donated more than the $75 I am forced to pitch in with my season tickets.  If I was not invested in the area that my seats are in, I don't know why anyone would renew.  I feel for the older folks that sit on the covered side, kind of a lot to spring on those folks with only a two week min.

Funny....Skunk just called me about this exact thing.   >:(

With Jr. probably playing both Friday nights & Saturday mornings this year, I was inclined to just say forget the season tickets and buy them game by game.  This was a poorly managed/communicated add-on, and I just can't understand the decision-making on this one.

Hmmmm......wonder if Mount's esteemed "leader" had anything to do with this ??? ::)

I also wonder what the high school's take is on all this? What are they doing to help pay for a new surface in the future? Did Mount raise their rent?

Junior can play V and JV in the same week?  In FL a kid can only play one game per week.

I miss schedules that make sense.  In Arizona, our frosh play Wed, followed by JV on Thurs and varsity of course on Fri.  I hate our JV playing day.  The kids that could dress have already played Thursday and AIA (equivalent to OHSAA) says you get ten regular season games.  One snap on Thursday and one snap on Friday means two games.  I much prefer dressing a JV type kid Friday night with the intent to keep him off the field unless injury necessitates it and then depending on how Friday night turned out, he dresses and plays Saturday morning.  That makes so much more sense to me.  And from a varsity standpoint, it makes more sense to have kids "healthy" Friday night and ready to be called upon than to have that sophomore kid that might help on Friday night come into the game knicked up from Thursday's contest.

Okay, enough from me on that.

I heard Mount will be charging section 13 triple.

OHSAA (the crooks) allow 5 quarters per week I believe. With a degree of levity for blowout game situations.

Anyone have any :-\ top recruiting news for other OAC schools ( except for Mount, ONU, Berg)?

Just thought I should remind people this is an OAC thread and not a Mount Union one haha.

So what are your guys thoughts

My thoughts as an outsider are that maybe you should put your money where your mouth is and stick around and post for your team.  By posting once and and running for cover, your behavior looks very hypocritical. Maybe go back and change your name to BlueStreaker4OnePost!!  ;) Don't forget, it was Raider 68's post that probably prompted you to post in the first place!!

I could understand a $25 fee per account, or a one-time thing, but per ticket seems like a bit much.  The fee alone is more than my season ticket was last year.

I received my season ticket letter on Thursday was struck by the fee. One week ago, I contacted the ticket office due to a change of address and was told they did not have the letter ready as yet, but would be coming soon.

My take:

- For season ticket holders, it is a required donation ( letter does not say or imply it, but what about a deduction)

- Why not give a more advance warning, money due 6-30-11

- Raise the ticket prices for all and take out some for the field turf replacement

- The amount is, as mentioned before, a bit steep for these times without a little more notice.

- Mount will see a reasonable drop in renewals, IMHO ::)

What's next, a seat license?  I'll pay the extra $100.00 it's going to cost me, but I think the whole deal sucks.  Maybe I'll just deduct $100.00 from my Annual Fund contribution.

Yah, they don't even enforce the five quarter rule due to blow-outs, small squads, etc...

Considering what Saturday in Columbus would cost it's still a deal, but maybe it wasn't handled the best way. Since the orginal turf didn't cost me a dime, so be it
