Shane,
Great advice for the game in two weeks!   ???

Have even been following the playoffs?

The PAC officials were very fair. They screwed everyone.
I was expecting Capital to be up and play well. But not that well. I think that the death sentence for a team against Mount is to let Jorris get into a rhythm.
I didn't witness any overt fan gestures from either team's fans. I just thought it was probably the second best Mount game I ever saw. (triple OT #1).
The "OAC is the best conference" arguement sure got a lot more support this year. Surprisingly, I think Mount came out of this game pretty much intact.
Congrats to all OAC teams this year. Especially MUC, Cap  and ONU.  God bless all and GOOOOOO RAIDERS!!!!

Quick thoughts

1.  That was the hardest hitting game I have ever seen
2.  Kmic gets into 4th gear at the snap
3.  I thought Garcon's TD was a good call....but I did think they made a bad call  on O'Reily's long catch
4.  The fear is gone

Great season Cap!!

Good luck MU the rest of the way!!

"as a player, i have to say that i respect the mount players, but their fans bring the atmosphere down a level.  never heard a group of spectators like that before.  too bad the players don't have classy fans"

I thought Mount fans were as classy as any fans I have seen this year. After thr game they were all talking about how great the game and wished us good luck.

About two hours after the game I had to stop for gas and a Mount fan saw my CAP hat and wanted to talk about the game and how we (CAP) played such a good game. Thanks to all who show the CLASS that this game deserved.

Go Purple Raiders!!!!!! Bring it back to the OAC

Just need to say that we watched one of the best OAC games in recent history. The west coast folks think they watched to championship game yesterday and they might have. I think we saw it's equal. The Capital D was awesome but the Mount Offense got it together and played tough. I think we could say that Mount looked nervous in the first quarter: Muffed kickoffs, passes way off the mark but they fought back and fought back. Great game by both teams. Honestly, I feel for the Cap players because they played their hearts out and deserved a victory.

Right now... best fare leaving Friday and coming back Sunday.

$143 Philly to Pittsburgh on US Air

$172 LaGuardia to Canton on Airtran.

$242 from Newark to Cleveland on Continental.

$301 from Philly to Canton on Airtran.

$40-$100 for economy car rental

I'm guessing that driving is still a little cheaper.

The king is dead. Long live the king.

Huh?  I didn't know the MUC/Cap game was reversed?  When did that happen?

For all the Linfield folks that were planning on another successful trip to Virginia, I would like to say the following:

REPEATING AS CHAMPS IS A LOT HARDER THAN MOUNT HAS MADE IT LOOK! ;D

You have to be damn good and lucky to repeat.  Let alone 6 out of 7.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I'd suggest coming into Canton (only 20 minutes from Alliance) and catching the Pro Football Hall of Fame while you're there.  Especially if you're doing a weekend.

BTW-It was nice to meet a lot of people yesterday: Moe, MtFan etc. I guess I need to keep the 66 jersey out as far as it goes. I personally saw nothing but positives from the fans on both sides. I'm sure there was a little negative but for the most part classy fans cheering on their teams. And I don't want to hear anything else about quiet Mount fans, it was loud, even in the covered stands where old 70's hung out with the other old folks.

B4-Actually had roundtrip TRAIN reservations to Philly in case of a Delaware Valley game. My eight year son is bummed, big time.

The Air Tran from LaGuardia to Akron Canton is by far the best move...
All major motel/hotel chains in the Belden Village area...probably in the North Canton or Jackson Township phone listings...
These places are minutes from the airport, close to great restaurants, one exit from the HOF,  and 20 minutes from Mount Union...
Alliance has improved its eating and sleeping venues in the past few years as well, but for my $$ I'd stay around Belden...

Looking forward to a great game from the Profs....
I have to agree that the Cap game may be second to 3OT game at JCU....although the Stagg's against Rowan, when trailing at the half are hard to forget...

Just a few observations about the Mount-Cap game...

1. Both teams VERY well prepared.
2. Cap's o-line was MUCH improved since they played us.
3. Rocky impressed me with is accurate passes.
4. Howe's doesn't look that fast but burned MUC all day.
5. MUC looked to be on the ropes there for a bit but they fought their way back and when they really needed to be dominant they were.
6. The brunch was AWESOME!
7. All of the Mount faithful are GREAT people.  All of them were very cordial and even the security guards tailgated (without the booze) with us.

I've got DirectTV so does anyone know if I can get the reply tonight at 8?

They are actually undercover FBI so you'd better be on your best behavior the next few weeks!!!!

To the NJ fans planning on flying, I agree with raiderpa's post about Akr-Ctn except for one thing. It will take you more than 20 minutes to get to the stadium, but its 4 lanes all the way so its very user friendly.

Somebody please tell me Ross Watson had the flu. He got burned all day and fell down on the one TD. Not the same #20 from the first Cap game. Have to agree with Moe about Howes. From a distance he runs like a stork, but is deceivingly fast.

Kudos to Wolfe, Garcon, Kmic, Stickley, but mostly to Robert McDavid who saved the day at least twice.

On the Cap side: Joel Sickmeier, Lewis Howes and grudgingly Kyle Hausler

I'm thinking that it might be better to just hop in the Civic (40 to a gallon), and jump on 80 like in 1999.  Parking at LGA or busing it to the airport would eat at least 3 hrs in and 2 hrs back out on return.  Mind you I live near NYC.  Add time spent at Canton airport.

With the ipod and satellite radio, time should fly.  Head out Thursday... stop near the Ohio border... shoot into Canton on Friday and catch the HOF again.

Just think last time Rowan and Mount met, the ipod and sat radio didn't exist.

Money saved is hotel and meals right there. I'll be a solo traveler on this trip, brother is out of town and Fiancee can't get the time off.
