I hate to overreact to one crazy OAC day, but has anyone noticed that Mount may be travelling to New Concord on November 12 with the title at stake?!! ;D

That would truly be fun!  I hope the fish can keep it going and be 9-0 on the 12th of November.
12-0 = 13

Good thing ... they are near the bottom of the OAC (and the country) in net punting.   ;)

Too bad the placekicker was forced to kick a 22 yd FG with 4 1/2 min remaining leading by 56. Other than the 9 PAT's, it would have been a perfect day!!  ;)

Good luck to those students that have exams scheduled for friday night 6-9:30pm, maybe they'll be able to catch the game on re-play on ESPN Classic.

Who has finals scheduled for 6 pm on a Friday night? I've never heard of that before. Do Mount or other schools actually schedule finals that late on a Friday?

A student from Mount Union or Whitewater can't leave an exam at 4PM on Friday and get to Salem in time for the game.  Neither for that matter can any student from any school more than 3 hours away. A Friday night game will reduce fan attendance from the participating schools.  It punishes those with the greatest interest in attending, which really doesn't fit with the image of DIII.  But when TV is involved (which I agree is good for DIII exposure) fans don't count for much.  Dollars rule, and the NCAA buckles under to the networks.  Hopefully the locals will turn out for a Friday night game (weather permitting), otherwise Salem Stadium is going to look rather empty on your TV screen. (Not a good thing for the image of DIII).

:o Um, yeah, I get that. My question was about who has finals at 6 on a Friday night. It had nothing to do with travel time relating to a 4pm final and getting to the stagg. I was surprised to hear schools scheduled finals on a Friday night.

I have taught at Mount and UAkron for years. I ALWAYS get stuck with a Friday night exam. Last term I had one at Mount on Friday from 6-9PM and one at Akron from 6:40-9:10PM. I had to reschedule my Akron one. Point is that it is very common (outside of Bethel) for Friday evenings to have exams.

Interesting. My experience reaches far beyond Bethel. The dozen or so colleges (albeit all midwest and upper midwest liberal arts schools) I'm most familiar with don't schedule final exams in this manner. I was just surprised to hear that some did. Maybe its an Ohio thing?  ;)

We have Friday night exams every year.  In order to get all of the exams in one week we have evening exams every day.

Since the Stagg this fall is now going to Friday night at the wishes of NCAA/ESPN, wonder who they will get to cover the game? :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

Do't worry, Mathie won't have enough to be even ranked this week. Trying to figure out why they dropped the "Inside 20" stat, which is why Brandon's stats appear poor

FYI. For those with little travel time, but no budget limitations....Akron Canton  and Roanoake airports are now connected by 2 airlines. One connects through Charlotte...the other through Ohare. Just trying to be helpful. :) I guess I will be watching on ESPN. :-\

Are you afraid you won't hear Pam's dulcet warblings this year?   ;)

The Raider line play continues to improve and Murray is making the most of it!  :)
J. Murray has 546 yds. this year through 3 games, and had 86 yds last year. (did not play in game 3)

Could be a charter again this year, but in the past it was pricey and a small plane

Guess if you don't punt much, it's hard to erase a 1 yard punt
