Heidelberg no longer is using the Columbia Stadium. They have one of thier own behind the rec center on campus. It's shared seating unless they bring in more bleachers.

If they have not brought in more, it only holds about 1,000 people.

Thanks.  Sounds just wonderful. ::)

Dare I say that Jasper Collins and Jeremy Murray appear to be the break out players we were hoping for. Collins TD grab off the defenders helmet and his return for TD were unforgettable.

Seventies,

While I thought the Raiders would have that breakout player, I did not think there would be two of
them! Also, Mount has 2 QB's who will help them the rest of the season and for the playoffs!, IMHO :)

Despite the loss of Cecil, this offense has many more dimensions to it than the last several years. A decent running game and a 5 headed monster of a receiving corp  are becoming very impressive

Mount takes their National Number 1 Defense and scoring Offense against a respectable Heidelberg this week. Good field so weather shouldn't play a factor. Will be interesting to see if the machine keeps rolling through better opponents.

Do the people who come on here and suggest we should cut Wilmington and Marietta loose say the same thing to Linfield about some of the turkeys they play like Pudget Sound?

Yeah, we have temporary bleachers, like the ones you'd see at a golf tourney.

I'm excited to see how Hallett's boys perform.  Against UMU, you'e either beat before you walk out of the locker room or way too jacked up, and make mistakes.

I'm excited to watch the guys play....cant decide if 6-4, 7-3 or 8-2 is the more realistic scenario.

Thanks.  Sounds just wonderful. ::)

To anyone heading to Tiffin, its a busy Saturday....as part of a lecture series, the executive producer of Sesame Street will be on campus, accompanied by Elmo and his puppetteer.  Plan accordingly.

Well, I hope not.  Heck, they could say that about our league as well i.e. Olivet and Kalamazoo.  But to those people, I say, "come on guys, it is what it is and always will be" as those sayings go.  That's just part of the college football scene, the divide between the upper and lower tier teams of any league, regardless of the level/division.  Once again, I return to that great example that I've used repeatedly and that is Northwestern (or for that matter Kansas State).  For years, people ranted about kicking Northwestern out of the Big Ten, yet they persevered and now are more than competitive.  Same goes for KSU, at one time they were the losingest program in the entire NCAA at any level (they still might be, although I am not sure without actually checking the records right now), but look what they did in the last decade or so, despite their having a tough time right now.  So, IMO, kicking teams out is not "it".  Besides, you have to have a team or two that you "beat up on" and always (well, almost always ;D) count on for a win; or the reserse i.e. count on them being the "spoilers" in the league! ;) ;D

Yep and this year two of the former sick sisters, Muskingum and Heidelberg are still in the hunt at mid-season

The Berg has some really good special teams players. Will be interested to see if they pull off a return or two

68, thanks for your consistent encouraging words and for seeding conversation on this year's rather quiet OAC board (which my smarter- than-I-phone changes to "ROACH board.")
Perhaps UMU (smart phone rendering: "Ukelele") hasn't faced an offense like the Berg's yet this season, but our defense has won our offense the ball back from the start, and scored several times themselves,  while the emerging offense took a little while to get it in gear. I look for both to keep on getting  better in response to a greater challenge from Heidelberg . Looking forward to a good game in Tiffin this Saturday.  Props everywhere. Wont name them all, cause I'd miss somebody. What about that rushing threat with 23, 24, 27, 28 and two rushing QBs? (Great to see some of St. Ed's star #10 coming on. )  Go purple! Good Luck, Berg.
