Sorry, I believe the point was NONE of us saw better than the zebra 6 feet away. Or from my spot in the end zone where I can tell you, he never had a chance to catch the ball.

Yes, there are only two people in the world who saw the play well and could make the correct call: the official right that was right there (makes a little bit of sense) and a random biased fan who was no closer than any of the players, other refs, sidelines, or video camera lenses (makes a little less sense).

What?  How dare you question the opinion of 70's!  Just because he's old, feeble, half blind, drunk and was 45 yards away doesn't mean he couldn't see PERFECTLY that the call was correctly not interference when observed thru his purple colored goggles.

Jeesz.  Too bad Doeder wasn't standing next to 70's to validate his story.   He was always a steady voice of reason.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I'm really disappointed to have missed "Doeder" on these boards.......

Raider 68

Given the game B-W played against the Raiders, how well will they play against cross-town rival JCU?
Will it be a blow-out or a tough one? :-\

I would guess a tough one for a couple of reasons.

  • HANGOVER
  • RIVAL

PurpleSuit

I would tend to agree with skunks, plus both teams have a lot on the line.  BW still has a slight chance to make the postseason and JCU is playing for a winning season for the first time in a while.  I'm hoping that BW can get the win and sneak into the playoffs

Me too.  But I do love that JCU pep band.

I can't figure JCU out.  Their offense looks really good some weeks, and really bad others.  Their defense is always "meh" at best.  They give up about 30 points per game, but still have a winning record.  If they're going to beat BW, they'll have to put up a lot of points, and that still might not be enough unless BW decides they dislike putting points up on the board and prefer turning the ball over like in the Capital and Marietta games.

...because of the interference right?

What interference? I didn't see a flag. ;D Maybe we should apply legal terminology to this and call it "alleged interference".

Nice article. I liked the ending about Denton: "Denton, a transfer from Norwich (Vt.), had a game-high seven catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns while filling in for the injured Jasper Collins, who missed his second straight game". Attention Norwich: you have supplied Mount with a couple pretty good WRs. If you have any others we will take em.

I have to come to Seventies' defense on this one--I will bet my paycheck that he wasn't drunk.

I was trying to be nice.  Figured the drinking gave him an excuse to be that way.  Guess the only excuse now is genetics?

RC......I'm from west-central Ohio, that picture didn't narrow the field of suspects.  There are 20,000 folks who look just like this guy every year at Country Concert in Ft. Loramie.

Would a family portrait help narrow it down?
