Hey OAC, I'm a BU follower and will be heading to alliance for the game this weekend... Just wondering if I can get some input on some good restaurants/bars I can hit while I'm out there?? Some info would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks in advance!

there are some chain restaurants, Texas Roadhouse, Applebees,Chipotle's and Bob Evans. Plenty of local diners, Pancho's Tex-Mex restaurant, Jalisco's(mexican) Grinders Above and Beyond, Doug's, Chives Restaurant, Alliance Family restaurant and the College Inn to name a few. Looking for Pub atmosphere Chives restaurant or the Neighborhood Inn across State street from the Campus both can fit the bill. College Inn and Grinder's have great Deli/grinder sandwiches. Plenty to pick and choose from and i may have inadvertently left some out. Also the campus holds a brunch a few hours prior to game time for all fans of both teams and usually plenty to choose from there. Hope you have a great time and safe travels!

Pat Coleman

Holds a brunch, he meant to say, and many people can vouch for the brunch, myself included.

Don't expect much talent unless you can find the place where Mtfan, hscoach or skunkssidekick are hanging out... those guys are like magnets for the talent!

The advice for lodging and eating in Alliance, Ohio would be Canton, Ohio: Stay there/Eat there

If you can swing it, set aside some time to visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.  If you've never been there, definitely worth one trip. If you have been there, you can probably find something else to do.

The brunch is held in the Hoover Price Campus Center just north of the stadium.  $7.50 all you can eat.

I am very happy to just be the "talent handler" here in my own house.  She keeps me busy...   8-)

I believe plans are just forming for a get together with all of our little "internet friends".

Maybe IF (cough cough) Mount makes it to the regional finals, we will get together that night before.

D3Fan1515 - depending on your schedule, I would also recommend the Pro Football HOF.  If you stay anywhere in the Belden Village area in Canton/North Canton, there are about a thousand restaurants (mostly chains but some good locals as well) to visit.

Safe travels....

Thanks again for the info guys, I just received word that BU is having a reception dinner at the pro football HOF on Friday so I am looking forward to that and my trip out to alliance... thanks again guys.

Was born in Alliance and have been forced to call it my hometown, but only olde codgers like Rscl70 dare eat within the city limits

d3fan1515,

If you have some time and want a fine meal at a great location, go to Gervasi Winery in North Canton.
It is on 55th Street. Probably the one of best restaurants in the area! Enjoy your Mt. Union experience! :)

Where has hurf been?

Glad to hear about your role as talent handler. . . unfortunately, my role as the same will keep me at home this weekend instead of going to Franklin/TMC in Indiana.  We are moving and thus my role as mover is needed.

SF is also probably off the "looking for talent" market for awhile.

PS -- the way you call us "internet friends" will get RC a call from his probation officer!
