I'm a BU follower guys, partially my fault for the restaurant debate lol! How about some info about MT, I know the obvious they are #2 in the nation, but what about impact players, schemes, injuries etc... Any info u would like about BU I can fill u in as well...
one thing is for sure- the massey ratings dont show as much love for any d3 teams this year- the numbers are way down and mt is "way down" in 9th/10th spots. i think BU has been in/around 175/200 most of the year

d3fan1515

I meant in the polls Bobo, I personally haven't seen either team play so I'm not willing to speculate who the favorite is between UWW and MT... I know it's either you or them as the favorite to win it, I know that!

Thanks for the info about MT... As for BU they run a variety of sets, but they are more of a pro I team... #1 is their guy on offense and he is very good, he runs hard but can also make you miss he has very good break away speed (I think 2nd in the nation in all purpose yards). #11 and 81 are there top wideouts they are both very good receivers with good size, I think their both in The 6'2-6'4 range. The Oline is big and are better run blockers then pass I would say... On D, they are pretty good, but are suspect to give up big plays. Their best DL is # 97, he is one of the nations leaders in TFL, I think top 5, best db's are #24 and 5, the LBs are average i would say 44 is their best backer..

I know there's plenty going on but this news is fresh so I thought I'd share.  My HC resigned and announced the news to us as a staff yesterday after our football banquet.  I believe there will be a great deal of turnover from our varsity staff regardless of the news but now it looks like I will be preparing for an interview for the head spot.  I don't know if I'm ready professionally but I don't want this opportunity to pass without trying.  With any luck RC will be known as HC (similar to the way Saintsfan is also referred to as Taintsfan).

The "Tale of the Tape" would seem to heavily favor the Raiders.

That's terrific RC!! Why should you feel you're "not ready"? From as much at coaching you've gained now and your vast background knowledge i'm sure you're more than ready to take the helm. Good Luck, you'll do well.  ............next stop Penn State? LOL ...nahh

RC:

I want to wish you all the best/good luck in your interview for the HC position.  I realize that can be a scary thought about just even going through the process, even if you know you are qualified for the position.  It is human nature for any one of us to question ourselves (in our minds) in potentially comparing ourselves with/against others qualifications when pursuing/going for a job in any profession or career, no matter how big or small.  Nonetheless, as you say, there is no reason not to at least "put your hat in the ring" and go through the process.  If you aren't selected, at least that is some additional experience for the next interview opportunity and there is nothing wrong with that.  And, if you don't get the job, I do hope that you will be able to continue as one of the assistant coaches.  Anyway, again good luck and I'll keep you in prayer for this (as I'm sure your other colleagues here will do as well).  I am glad you shared this with us. Keep us posted.

I'll jump in on the restaurant debate here as well, as if any of my "little internet friends" care about my opinion.  There is a nice Italian restaurant downtown on Main Street called Anthony's--good food, reasonable prices, pasta isn't overcooked, doesn't smell like an ashtray.  Also on W. State street there is a fairly new, or at least recently renovated/changed hands, place called the Blue Fig--they have an interesting mix of pub food (including some really good wings) and Mediterranean (think falafels).  Both places have full bars so you can imbibe, if you like.  Alliance also now sports a brand new Chipotle's on W. State St. near the Giant Eagle grocery store in Buckeye Plaza.

Safe travels to everyone!  If you're still in town Saturday evening, stop by Rodman Playhouse on campus and see the current production of BOY GETS GIRL (which I directed) starting at 8:00.  It's about the impact of stalking on society.  Some of you guys might need a few lessons in what not to do! ;)

agreed- by all measures it appears to be a mis match
that being said thats why the games are played
i do have a question? when will all conference/all region teams be announced
if i was forced to bet my lifes stealings on this game? i would go with 5 tds not that i would consider gambling

I don't know if any of you saw it or not but, All Bets Are Off just did a little segment on Mount. Ashley Collins was at mount earlier today and did an interview with LK

RC:  good luck.  Even if you don't get the position, the experience of going thru the process with help you with the next opportunity.

If you get the job, please keep your assistant coaches out of the showers.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

RC, I once heard a D 1 head coach, when he was  asked when he thought he was ready to be a head coach,,his answer was ,,about 3 years after he took the job . so  do not worry about being ready,,just go get the job !!

RC,

All the best as you decide to pursue this career opportunity. Give it your best shot and you will always feel you made the right decision! :)

OK....this is WAY too schmarmy for me!  :D

RC....you dumb ignorant ONU grad!  The best thing you could do is bring some Ohio boys out there to actually teach those kids how to play REAL football.   ;)  I will send you plays if you actually get this gig.  Maybe that way you will have an "out" when things go bad (not saying they will).   ;)

Good luck, and I believe you will always represent Ohio well.
