Wesleydad, we'll still be getting together friday night. The wings and beer are too good to pass up, lol. Need an idea how many will be coming as we'll try to reserve enough space.
Saintsfan, hope to see you there too as Theaprof will have some wings you'll have to try  :P ;)

Wdad:   similar to 09.  Better wr corps as a whole, but no Cecil.  Dline not as active.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I would be surprised if we don't give up 2 defensive TD's and at least a field goal after a blocked punt.

Welp. Can't say you aren't confidant! Go get'm, Wolverines!

You're granting UMU a 17 point head start in a game that you're presumably trusting could still turn in your favor? Wesley will lose a hundred times out of a hundred if they give up 2 defensive TD's and a blocked punt. I'm chuckling as I'm even typing this. That's crazy talk. It's just.... It's crazy.

Wesley better hope that Murray re-aggravated his injury in practice, that Piloto ain't playing, and that by some grace of God the Wolverine offense isn't undressed in a very public way. They better score, like, five touchdowns and they better not settle--ever--for a field goal. Also, they better not have any turnovers that flip field position. But all of that seems, just, bonkers.

No one seems to be talking about Wesley's LOSS this season. Isn't that significant? It is. That's significant. Someone not named Mount Union figured out how to beat you already. And now you're playing Mount Union. Don't give them 17 points.

I think he is saying that if Wesley's defense gives up two TD's not MU's defense scoring TD's....

Wdad -hscoach is pulling your leg about how good mount players are.

Certainly would prefer not to give you 17 pts, but trying to be realistic. Just think our success will come from holding you to that and having our offense put up more points as they are very capable of doing (no disrespect to your D as I'm not saying it will be easy).   In our loss Kean made us pay big for special team mistakes.  That part of our game has very much improved, but still not without worry.  That loss was actually good for us as McSweeny stepped up big from then on. Not that you guys have much of an idea about what a regular season loss feels like...;)

Sure we do.  2005 wasn't that long ago.  ;D

bashdad, no reason to debate everything you said, but I will take the point of Murray running for 150 yards on.  Not going to research it because I don't think I have to, but if he does he will be the first one this year.  ...
It you did research it:

9/17 - 254 vs John Carroll
9/24 - 167 vs Wilmington
11/5 - 155 vs Baldwin-Wallace
12/3 - 152 vs Wabash

BashDad, would that be undressed in a public way such as maybe the Wabash offense was last week.  One thing I know for sure is that Wesley has a better offense than Wabash does and has a better QB than anyone they would have put on the field.  Since the lose was in the second week of the season, why would we talk about it.  Wesley played like crap and got beat by a team that lost in OT in the final 16.  I am sure that Mount did not rush out and try to get a hold of the Wesley/Kean video so they could game plan with it.  I am chuckling at that thought as I type this.  I hope Murray and Piloto both play.  I want to see the best that Mount has to offer and if Mount wins then I will be the first to congratulate them.  I don't want to hear any excuses, not that the Mount folk will make any, if Wesley wins the game.  I also find it rather interesting that the only posters predicting an easy win for Mount are not from Mount.  Wesley has earned the right to be in this game and will hopefully play to their ability, if that is not good enough so be it.

mr. mom, was talking about checking to see if any one individual running back ran for 150 against Wesley, not if Murray ran for 150 against anyone during the season.  I will take my chances that Wesley's front 7 are as good as any of those teams.  Could be wrong, but that is what we will find out on Saturday.

mtfan, I am not sure who may or may not be coming.  I posted something on the Wesley site and did not get any response, so it may just be me.  I will be there no later than 9, hope that is not to late.  Like wings and beer, not necessarily in that order. :D

Yes.

Wesleydad -- After your clarification, I did research Wesley's season.

Max against your defense this year was Salisbury: 226 yards total.  Then MHB with 194.  These were the only TEAMS to exceed 150.  Highest individual was 86 on 5 carries for SAL.

Of all those teams, only MHB had a runner in Murray's class (Darius Wilson, 20 for 73).

On the other extreme, I should really exclude the Husson and Apprentice games.   ???

Does anyone know why Skiliter did not play last week?  Only Murray and Simon carried the ball and Simon only 4 carries.  Wabash saw a very limited version of Mount's running game.
