Jack Snowball:

Division-I Co-Offensive POY

Mentions Mount Union in this article: Snowball doesn't have D-I Offer

K & J's Dad,

Thanks for the link! The Raiders have a good chance to get Snowball, if a D1 school does not get him. He is about the same size as another great back from Mogadore ( Chuck Moore). Maybe Chuck should talk with him, if he has not already! :) +k

Snowball has "interest" from a few MAC schools, and strong interest from some D-II schools.  I think this will come down to signing day, or a few days after before he makes a decision.  It would be a great "get".  I watched the kid play against Glenoak, and he was tough as nails, and a strong, heady runner.

How would you compare him to:

Chuck Moore
Dan Pugh
Nate Kmic
Jeremy Murray

Thanks! :)

I'd let the kid make his college choice and perhaps get on campus before comparing him to the top four rushers in program history.

here's his senior year highlights:

Another kid to keep an eye on is QB/LB Adam Wallace from Norwayne.  Have heard that he is leaning towards Mount.  If you watched the state title games, he was a beast on both sides of the ball

PurpleSuit,

"Style" of running question only to someone who has seen him play! :)

Since I didn't see any of those guys run in high school, I think any comparison is really hard.  I would describe him as a hard runner, that can take a hit and keep on going, but still has enough gear to break a long one.

Suit......you are spot on!   ;)

Does anybody find it curious that Snowballs head coach has a father coaching college ball and there is no mention of interest in him by dear old dad? Can Walsh offer scholarships next year? Couldnt blame him for going with the $, but wouldnt he look nice in purple? ;) Anything but brown and yellow.

Wasn't Walsh already able to do that when they were in the Mid-States conference? Or was that league all non-scholarship football progams.  I should know the answer to that, but somehow, I forgot. :o ::) ;D :)

Yes, Walsh could offer scholarships.

Thanks for the clarification.  I thought I recalled they were able to, however, as mentioned, I just wasn't sure.

Especially since Snowball is a workhorse and the old man loves to hand it to his RB 50 times a game.  Seems like a match made in heaven for the Cavs.

That kid feels like a Mount kid.  Not flashy, not the fastest, just played all out the entire game and made big play after big play when it mattered.  He's a football player plain and simple.  And honestly, threw a very nice ball considering I was expecting the worst when I heard MLB #45 was their QB!  He made a number of great throws downfield.

Another Mount Union player,Ed Warinner '84 moving up in the coaching ranks. He was named offensive line coach at Ohio State today.
