Greetings Mt. Union guys, is there anything you can tell me about Zach Hildebrand? Looks like he transferred from Mt. Union to Fisher.

Is he a local transfer to fisher?  If not, i wouldn't get too excited about a kid who quit mount

Nope, he's from Pennsylvania.

Just wondering if you guys had any information on the kid.

The views expressed in the above post do not represent the views of St. John Fisher College, their athletic department, their coaching staff or their players. I am an over zealous antagonist that does not have any current connection to the institution I attended.

On the 2011 roster he is listed as a 6-2, 200 lb So. Defensive Lineman.  That is as much information as  I can give you.  Seems a little small at 200 lbs.

The name doesn't ring a bell.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I'm not quite as cynical  enough to say small college sports is essentially a money grab by the schools,as some have implied. These students did qualify academically and many have specific academic reasons to go to Mount, that have nothing to do with football. Purplesuit..you should not call a kid a quitter unless you have personal knowledge why he left. It' a cheap shot. Speaking of freshman ,there is an Alliance high graduate who is lighting up freshman practices. It's Taurice Scott,a quarterback who is a good enough athlete to play several positions. He looks good.

^ TS will make a great safety.   Not as sure about QB.

+1 purple. Could be any number of reasons. Only he and his family may ever know the truth.

I just went to the d3 mainpage and saw the countdown to Kickoff.  The Day 3 entry put a big smile on my face.  I am not trying to brag so I hope it's not coming off that way.  The teaser and subsequent snippets come from my interview with Pomona-Pitzer running back Luke Sweeney.  It's a very fulfilling feeling to see your work sitting there for others to dive into and read.  I am privileged to say I have written the SCIAC capsules for three years now.  It's been an honor to write for D3football.com and I just felt now was a great time to get that out.

Purchase Kickoff!  It's an awesome effort and really celebrates what we all love so much about Division III football!

It's cliche to say, but Taurice Scott is just a football player.  I was a big fan of his in HS.  Good athlete who can play multiple positions and be good at any of them it seems.  But the college game is a step up so we'll see where he lands.  He certainly would be intriguing at safety.

Taurice Scott

Step #1 - follow the Cecil Shorts plan to get much bigger (Shorts weighed about a buck nothin' when he came to Mount)
Step #2 - make LK say "holy crap we need him on the field"
Step #3 - catch and run to daylight

Scott now has the record for the longest run in the East/West Stark County all-star game.  The kid is definitely a player.

What a terrible job editing.  They cut the beginning and ending of the plays off too much.  Hard to tell which one is Mr. Scott until the play is over.
