"a cake walk"...I don't believe LK let's any of his teams think that no matter who they play...for Mount, IMHO, tomorrow is another game like the last one with preparing the same physically and mentally...it's a system that has worked for 27 years. For Heidelberg it's their game of the year...it's different than the last one and the next one...how they respond mentally is the key for them especially in the 1st quarter because I believe Mount will being going for the throat. The 'Berg will have their hands full.

Too bad the FRANKENSTORM will hit too late to affect this weekend's games ... would have been interesting!

I've seen posts from "close" to "cakewalk" to "shut-out" to "close on paper".  Get those Pick-Em selections in and put your money (points) where your mouth is.

And wear clean underwear!

Forgot to remind them to wash behind their ears too.

Weather for tomorrow:
45 degrees
10-20 mph winds
70% rain

Yuck!
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

The weather will be crap - but I think it gives Mount an extra edge. The wind and rain will limit downfield passing and make both teams more one dimensional (IMHO). But Mount uses those 5-10 yard passes and get alot of YAC from Denton, etc. That should not be affected too much tomorrow. Even if it is affected by the weather Mount has 3 solid RBs, and 2 running QBs that can spread it around. I think Berg will have to rely on Cartel to carry the load. He is very capable of doing that - but if Mount doesn't have to worry about the deep pass (which I think is a weakness of the defense) then they can load the box. Should be interesting and fun - to play in. Not to sit in the stands and get soaked. I WANT to go - but will wait for the STO replay. Have fun all who attend and as always............ROLL RAIDERS!

On Game Day, Chris Fowler brought up MUC's shutout streak and offered up $200 to anyone on the panel who could name the team that scored on Mount this year.  Cue the crickets ... no winners.

This game will pit the student against the master. How coach Hallets team fares will define how good a student he is. I believe it will be closer than one might expect just because of the weather. The best team to hold onto the ball will prevail. UMUs kicking specialists will be hard to match too. Receivers will have to yield the glory to the ball carriers today. UMU has too many options to overcome IMHO. Kheres may win the war today but a close game will inspire many to give the COY title to Coach Hallett. I will have to watch the replay tonight. Im gonna go to the Highschool Hatefest instead. (Massillon vs McKinley in case you didnt know). GO TIGERS.....ROLL RAIDERS ROLL.

;)  You're gonna have to inflate your resume a bit to get on the stage with Corso, Fowler, and Herbstreit.  That or wait until they broadcast from Alliance.

That was quick.  Berg wins the toss, takes the ball and goes 75 yds very easily for a score.  7-0.

And the Raiders respond.....with a 3 and out. Mount forced into a 3 and out again - Burke sacked deep in Mount terrritory. Mount better get their heads up and start playing. Great punt by Mount - 77 yards and no return!

Berg with 70+ rushing yards midway through 1st quarter. Brooks has had his way with the Mount D so far. Berg came to play and is pushing the D around to this point. I am out. Taking the kids trick-or-treating at the mall. Hoping for the best in this one after a very poor start.

Dr. Acula

Berg holds on 4th and 5 from their own 9.  7-0 Berg end of 1.

Raining pretty good it sounds like.  Raiders rotating Lattimore, Simon and Skilliter and trying to run more now.

Dr. Acula

There we go....Burke to Stewart 37 yd TD.  Never mind...Almeida misses PAT.  7-6.

Dr. Acula

Raiders pop Brooks on the kick off, force a fumble and recover.  Too bad they get flagged for offsides on the kick off.  Sheesh.  Very sloppy first half for Mount.
