One other thing...

To those that want to compare Kevin Burke to a past Mount Union QB.

Take it from someone that has seen every one of them over the last 25 years.

This guy compares most to Bill Borchert.

Yes, that Bill Borchert.

Except Burke has had a better sophomore year than Borchert did.

Matter of fact, Burke has probably had the best sophomore year of any Mount QB I have ever seen, including Gary Smeck, which won a Stagg Bowl his sophomore season in 1998.

Burke is more accurate from 40 yards than Bruney was from 20.

Seaman was more like Bruney minus the leg speed due to the knee injury he suffered duing baseball his senior year of high school. Burke and Bruney have completely different running styles.

I've been following the Raiders in great depth since the Jim Ballard days and agree 100% with that opinion.

Quick trivia question:

Who is the only OAC QB to play against Ballard, Borchert, Smeck AND Bruney?

Rocky Pentello

I agree that Namdar is a stud and I think he has many similarities to Burke.  His passing touch and accuracy is top notch and he is as fast fast fast...It is a shame he is at Mount. (not for Mount) He could start most anywhere in DIII.

Don't worry, Namdar will start next year.

Not only that, isn't it true he almost made a Touchdown saving tackle on LK's historic 95 yd. pass? Of course, this was early in his career when he played both sides of the ball.

cool!

Dr. Acula

Raiders already up 14-0 very early on.  Denton with an 80 yd punt return TD.  That's 5 this year!

Berg is up 6-0, but it appears the live stats are frozen.  They had this issue last week too in Tiffin.

Dr. Acula

Bad news for Berg....Brooks hasn't played today.  Good news for Berg...they're still running all over Witt.  Lacey with 91 yds on 9 carries in the 1Q.  14-3 Berg.

21-3 Berg, Witt fumbled the kickoff and Berg took it in quickly

Dr.,

Got a chuckle today, my wife was looking at Troy Palomalo's (sp) twitter and he posted a bucket list. One of the items was to become a doctor a change his last name to Acula. You should sue! Ha Ha!

I wish I could take credit.  It's from one of my favorite TV shows, so I would probably owe the money to Bill Lawrence!  Haha.

Your Princes are playing well motorman.  Already up 21-3 and setting the tone up in Tiffin!  Keep it up!

Dr. Acula

TD on 4 straight drives for Berg.  28-6.  Witt is moving the ball too, but settled for those 2 FG.

It's already 42-7 in Alliance not even half way through the 2Q.  Burke is a PS3 like 8/10 for 235 and 3 TD already.

Dr. Acula

Half:

UMU 49-7
Berg 31-13

Good start for the OAC.
