A very happy Thanksgiving to you all.  Enjoy your holiday traditions, and be sure to include a visit to Mount Union Stadium this Saturday at noon.  Forget about that meaningless game on TV, you can read about it in the Sunday papers.

UMHB vs Franklin. I wonder what the spot is on this one? This one will tell how far Franklin has improved since week one.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!  We have much to be thankful for.  Safety to all travelers.
GO Raiders!!

happy thanksgiving to my mount friends.  enjoy the day and the game this saturday.  i dont think it will be very close.  hopkins struggled against gettysbrug and franklin and marshall, giving up 35 to the bullets and only scoring 12 in the loss to marshall.  that tells me that they will have trouble scoring and trouble stopping the raiders from scoring.

I'm officially retired from line setting ::), but I would think MHB is easily a 4 TD favorite.  If not more.  Final score in the ballpark of:  MHB 52 / Franklin 20
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Exactly.  Which is why I think JHU has chance to hang around longer than would be expected if we had today's weather.  Game time temp of 30 degress with snow showers and 15-20 MPH winds will adversely impact Mount's ability to stretch the field with the vertical passing game.  Our WR's will still be running free in the secondary, it's just not likely to be 30 yards down field.

However I'm very happy to see this weather forecast for the simple reason it's good preparation for the Semi-Final against MHB.  I would hate for that game to be the first one played this season in cold & windy conditions.  This team needs some testing and adversity, and I'd much rather have the first weather test come against Hopkins.  No offense to our new friends from Baltimore

As long as we don't get NCAC officials for the semi's, I'll be happy.

For sure, that is not the best situation.  Unfortunately, the MIAA crews were not that good this year.  IMO, they took a "step back" to where they were 3-4 years ago.  Nonetheless, your team will obviously make the best of whatever situations might arise.  Good luck.

i agree with all that, but the Baltimore team is gonna have to pass in the same weather too -haven't seen their QB of course but we agree Burke has a cannon on his shoulder along with a nice touch. Punts and field goals are probably gonna be uh adventures for both teams too.

Happy Turkey Day all...

Just saw a familiar face on AZCentral.com:

Over 3, down 4.

They're doing an NCAA tourney-style pool for best coaches of all time.  LK, Frosty and Gags are all in the mix.  BTW, LK is currently losing his matchup with former Syracuse coach Ben Schwarzwalder.  He got my vote however (as did Gags).

I just voted for LK in the first round of the fan poll-bracket to determine Who is the best college football coach of all time?

My vote was able to move Larry ahead of former Syracuse coach Ben Schwarzwalder.
