Never have I heard the fans at Mount Union Stadium yell so loud....wow!

+1

I don't know how we sounded from the far side but in the home stands it was a pretty thunderous cacophony for nearly every defensive play in the 4th.

ESPN has the replay available - I just fast forwarded to the start of 4th quarter. Quality of the feed is great. At least I can watch the replay.

Is it via ESPN3?  On Demand via cable?  ESPN.com?

Too the Mount faithful that attended the game - MAJOR KUDOS! Just saw the blocked punt for a score and the noise was deafening! I have never heard it that loud (what happened to sipping tea?)!

What a game.  I think it took a year off my life!  Between my blood pressure sky rocketing with all the turnovers to near heart failure in the 4th qtr.  It was quite entertaining to say the least.  Quick thoughts:

Absolute highest praise for the D.  What an effort.  Thanks to the turnovers it felt like UMHB was starting in our territory nearly every drive.  But coming down the stretch when it counted most they absolutely went into another gear.  It was like they felt the tide turning and went into a frenzy.  The pressure from the line was great.  Fechko played a fantastic game today.  Any time a DT is making that many plays it's impressive (and there were some nice DT in white as well).

Junior Collins was a stud again today.  It's amazing that the kid can run a DB off, stop and make a catch for 15 yds on 3rd and 12.  They were so worried about getting beat deep that he just ran a crisp route and got open on 3rd and long it seemed like all day.  That's impressive.

After the pick 6 it seemed like Burke was rattled.  Rightfully so.  But just like we'd hope he would he strapped it back up and made a number of big plays down the stretch.  Big throws, great runs.  They didn't win in spite of him.  He came through for the team by making the plays they needed him to.  Good for him.  And good for us.

I always praise Jake Simon for running hard.  Every carry he gets regardless of the score he runs like it's 4th and 1 in a tie game.  I'm happy for him.  He deserves to score that TD as a senior.  And with the dropsies going around he may get some more totes in Salem.

I couldn't help but notice on the punt block that Spencer blocked it, but the punter ran that way because Kocheff was in there too.  Freshmen making an impact on a huge play.

Safe travels to anyone heading home.

Wow that was one of the greatest games I ever witnessed.  The game was extremely emotionally draining even more draining that the 1999 3 OT win at John Carroll.  The crowd was extremely loud in the 4th quarter.  As the sun was going down the wind started to feel a lot colder especially when it seemed like Mount was handing the game over to UMHB.  5 turn overs yielded 5 TDs for UMHB totally unbelievable.  I was able to watch the ESPN feed on my iPhone which was pretty cool, but as the game appeared to be getting out of hand it was difficult to watch the game on ESPN because of the big hole Mount put themselves in.

The energy level of the fans at the end was unbelievable.  Mount prevailed and the wind no longer felt as cold.  Finally there was a game where there was no reason to leave early to beat the traffic.  The place was rocking under the lights.

Who says Mount Fans are complacent?

I have never been so disappointed in a Mount Union offense, and then so pleased and proud at the same time!  Despite all the mistakes, these guys proved they are a great offensive team and worthy to join the great Mount teams of the past!

I would like to give appropriate praise to the Defense, I just can't think of enough superlatives!  They truly won the day!

See you all in Salem!

A game to remember for all the Mount fans all over this country.  Tonight is the time to enjoy it.  Sunday is the beginning of the goal to focus on what this  season is all about.  I hope all the turnovers are out of our system.  This game was a season's worth.  I do not care who we play, I would like Mount not have to   over come themselves and their opponent this Friday.  It is difficult for me to believe that Mount can play this way 2 weeks in a row.  It's been around 1460 days til the last stagg championship.  Time to get back on top of the mountain.   GO RADIERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I just rewatched the 4th qtr.  Alex Nicholls closed fast on Bailey on that 3rd and 4 that came right before the punt block.  Good job by him.

I also loved them showing the offensive huddle on the sideline during a TO on the last drive and there's Driskill standing with them.  He was probably about to tell LK to put him in he can go both ways too.  Haha.

That go ahead drive was a thing of beauty.  Skilliter hangs onto the pass when he gets absolutely drilled.  Simon relieves him and rips off an 11 yarder on 3rd and 2.  Burke throws an absolute strike to Collins downfield then makes a guy miss on a scramble the very next play to set up Simon's TD.  Surgical.

I thought UMHB was an excellent team.  They didn't get rattled when they were down after t5hat first drive and really was putting to Mount in the 2nd quarter.  Their D Line was as good as I have seen in D3 at that size.  For their size I thought they were also pretty athletic.  The O Line of UMHB was opening holes that nobody else has dreamed of opening against Mount and they still had a lower average per run that Mount.  On Mounts side the SD-Line also played outstanding and took the game over in my opinion late.  They just made so many good plays.  Burke really grew up as a QB even though his numbers were less than most games this year.  After the pick 6 he seemed to be more focused and effective.

UMHB punter was tremendous.  Those high spirals were a thing of beauty.  I can only wish Mount had such a kicker.  The Stagg will be a great game with a new opponent for the first time in a long time.  Time to get that Walnut and Bronze back to Alliance next week. I don't know much about UST but if Mount doesn't feel like they won the Stagg today and don't have a let down (very unlikely) they will get number 11 in 6 days.

Just an incredible game today. Total hats off to the UMHB team. Those boys were big, fast, and hit like heavyweights. They kept the Mount Union trainers busy all game. Let's hope those who got dinged today can spend some time in the rehab room this week and get back to full strength for Friday.

I honestly cannot say enough about the way Kevin Burke led this team. He seemed a little down after the Pick 6, but the kid is a ridiculous leader, and bounced back when it mattered.

Onto Salem, what a great place to be. Bring on the Tommies!
