Hi Everybody,

Long time reader first time poster.  Feel compelled to stand up to be counted, considering I have grown tired of the Foghorn Leghorn supporters of UWW.

I don't recall a Stagg Bowl bound team (correction, their fans) as full of themselves as the Rowan Profs were in 1993.  I seem to recall back then that MUC was just a little college in Ohio that was going to be culled by the gigantic and ubertalented Profs.

Wish I was good at predictions, but I am not, so I will leave it at that.   The ChickenLittles of UWW may be all that, but something tells me that for MUC, the best is yet to come.

Go Raiders.

I think you are confusing the NJ Press and maybe KC Keeler with Rowan fans.  The press and Keeler didn't think much of Mount's chances.

There wasn't any post patterns back in 1993.  What I remember during the tailgate were two sets of fans (Mount/Rowan) that were happy to be in the title game.  I talked to a bunch of Mount fans before the game and had a good time.

Admittedly I didn't know much about Mount Union in 1993, but I figured the Raiders must be good because they got to the Stagg Bowl.  I don't recall the majority of Rowan or Mount fans being full of themselves.

Accuweather calling for high of 41, probably about the time the game is over. Unfortuately with the previous mentioned 15 mph cross wind and should feel like 23 degrees blowing into the east stands. Not as bad as the Trinity game, but not great.

Weather in Salem, Saturday...

Predicted partly cloudy with temps in the hi 20's - lo 30's
so much for a warm weather site...

still cannot match '93 blizzard like conditions, and I forget which year it was, but the punters in pregame were punting from the left hash mark, and the ball was blowing out of bounds on the opposite side of the field.....incredible...

it says that the weatehr is going to be 40 on saturday, not 30, but partly cloudy.

Comapared to the last three or four weeks in Alliance , maybe it shorts weather  8)

Point taken.  Didn't mean to offend JT.

;)  Ok, Pat, so I missed that story back then.  Geeesh...between this site and Ric, I think you can find out about anything that is Mount Union and DIII.

Although, I DID add what LK's reaction was when he saw the kid run "live and in person" for the first time.  Can I be a contributing source?   ;D

For some reason, every year Mount goes to the Stagg Bowl, the opposing team comes on this board, runs their smack, and in all cases but one, leaves broken hearted.   The only year were the opposing team did not go ape on this forum was when St. Johns beat the Raiders, most of their fans were realistic, and knew it would be a tough victory to have.  And to my disbelieving eyes, St, Johns and old man Gaglardi owned the Raiders.

Lesson is, UWW fans, the more you talk the more the Karma moves to A-town.

GO RAIDERS!!!

Wow, that is kind of hard to believe considering the smack that was thrown at WW from the SJU fans and the Linfield fans during this playoff run on  the WIAC board before the games.  And I have read plenty of smack from MCU fans as well so far.  Again, there is plenty of arrogance being displayed on both sides from some fans to keep the karma from building up on either side! :D :D  The WW players and coaches know that MUC is going to be a formidable opponent and they will not take them lightly just as they did not take any of their play off opponents lightly.  Doesn't matter what a few fans say.  They do their talking on the field!

RBA,

No problem.  There plenty of half truths and falsehoods about Rowan. Just wanted to defend the fans, most of us are pretty cool.

I didn't know what to expect until Ballard started throwing darts in a blizzard.  I looked over at my brother and said,"Looks like it might be a long day for the Profs."

So i got my Stagg Bowl ticket today and i am sitting in the East stand in Section B.  Am i T.V. bound?  and is this MUC side too or WW?

seventiesraider

East is the "Mount Union" side and yes the TV camera's will for the most part be focused that direction. Looks like there will be plenty of us on the West side as well. :-X

I would have liked to see a MUC vs. Linfield title tilt. Good luck to MUC......
