Maybe Namdar steps into the WR role and excels. It wouldn't be the first time an athletic backup QB has done that. ;)

Great point and I forgot about that. I have heard that Namdar is very athletic and is expected to see playing time next year. Something tells me that there is no QB controversy - so I would expect him to play elsewhere.  ;D

Keith and I were expecting this as well for 2013.

I checked Maxpreps and saw him listed as a Junior at QB and as a Senior at WR. All I know is he is too talented to carry a clipboard.

Namdar was the Starting JV QB as a Jr. in HS.  Some Blue Chipper transferred in from OK his Sr. year and Namdar moved to WR, so wouldn't be a new position for him at WR.  He was also on a State Championship 4x400m Relay team his Sr. year in HS.

I meant to mention Namdar, but I was too long winded and forgot!  Yeah it certainly seems like the logical conclusion for him to move over to WR.  He's definitely fast enough that's for sure.  And while he has proven himself to be a very capable QB it would be a waste to not have an athlete like that on the field the first 3 qtrs of games.  Another thought is what about Taurice Scott?  Another good athlete at the QB position.  Is he a potential WR down the road?  I understand that he'll probably need to be the backup QB if Namdar goes to WR, but just a thought.

I know that MTU was pretty heavy on Seniors, but I saw a lot of returnees getting playing time on the Defense in Salem.

# 4  LB  Hank Spencer - Fr.

# 6  DL  Ted Rosalva - Jr.
#30  DL  Neyejel Thomas - Jr.
#30  DL  Tom Lally - Fr.
#91  DL  Matt Fetchko - Jr.

#31  DB  Alex Kocheff - Fr.

I think there were 1 or 2 more younger DBs getting playing time as well.

Pardon my ignorance here.  Did I read, some time ago on here, that rules have changed for D3 spring ball?  I thought I read that new rules allowed full pads and contact now during spring practice.  Did I dream that, or have the rules changed?

Thanks

After seeing the game live from close up, the one thing watching the tv version made me remember about the game was how tentative and often confused the WIAC officials were. Often looking at each other before making a call. Sorry, I know we really let them have it from the home side.

No pads.  Unless you are travelling out of the country for a spring exhibition game.  Some teams have traveled to Ireland, Scotland and Canada in the past.

Makes sense.  Thanks for clarification.

Taurice's play at QB has allowed Namdar to move to WR.

Won't name names, but you can also plan on another back-up D-lineman to move into a starting O-line role next year.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

LK and some other coaches attended the Brown's game yesterday as guest of Pierre Garcon.  Pierre had a good game with 6 catches for 65 yards though it could have been more with Pierre getting targeted 12 times.  Garcon also had a big fumble recovery.

PG look very aggressive in his play, but I imagine LK cringed several times when Pierre ran his mouth a bit too much.

Perhaps it's the uncertainty of replays.  As I heard it explained, the replay official in the booth is reviewing plays all the time, without a challenge.  I think that first touchdown was an example, it's not too often you see a play run when the previous play is being reviewed.

Or it could be they were trying to figure a way to call enough unsportsmanlike penalites that the returning Mt stars would be suspended the next season.

My thoughts:

1. Congratulations Mount Union.  Fantastic, record-breaking season!
2. UMHB was the second-best team in the country this year.
3. I now like K.C. Keeler better than Caruso. No class. When Caruso loses he acts like Greg Schiano and when he wins he's another back-slappin Jim Harbaugh.  Watch him come out onto the field and yell at Nick Driskill during the final tackle of the game.

'The true man is revealed in difficult times.' Epictecus

I haven't watched the full replay of the game yet, but watched the last 3 minutes plus the coaches handshake and still don't understad Caruso.  Looked like he was trying to Chat LK up and Coach K wanted to just shake hands and get away from him.  Caruso better hope to not run into Mount anytime soon, because Coach K has a LONG memory and tends to put his foot on the gas and make a statement against those who he thinks have not respected the game.
LK is insulted by someone wanting to chat him up?  I could see it the other way around if Caruso had won, and LK wanted to go sulk, but who would possibly get upset in LK's winning position?  Caruso is a chatter.  Keep your classless comments to yourself unless you know what was said.

Off-subject ... there was RUMINT in Washington today that Fletcher's relatives were arrested at Cleveland Stadium yesterday.

Anyone have any details?
