Too late for my weekly Friday Night nagging, so this becomes an early Saturday Morning reminder to get your OAC Picks in.

Pick well!

Sort of surprised that a little fun caused theberg40 to run away.  Sorry buddy.  I was just trying to make a creative impression but I apologize publicly for offending you.  I wouldn't want to alter your perception of me.

On a related note, Saintsfan, I guess that year-plus where you kept my coaching headshot as your d3 profile picture, I should have been much more upset with you.

Yeah but you KNOW I'm harmless and not some guy living in a shack writing manifestos.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Right, you are living in a "VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER."

I don't think there was a Stagg Bowl in 1972.  First was in 1973

pt

Well, yes and no.  The national champion Stagg Bowl began in 1973.  From 1969 thru 1972 there were two regional championships: the Knute Rockne Bowl for the east and the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl for the west.

Here's a little more about that:

Is there any info on why Samford vacated the 1970 Stagg Bowl?  A quick Google search doesn't turn up much, and now my interest is piqued.
From the Washington PA Observer Reporter, Samford played ineligible players.

Thank you!

And I missed all the excitement again!

I usually miss all the fun and excitement too.

But I was having fun, I went along as a parent helper on my daughters sixth grade class trip to Stoke State Forest here in NJ for a three day camping trip.  Was completely out of touch with technology for three days up in the hills.  How nice it was.

The streaming of the CWRU vs Linfield is excellent.

amonachino

Lindfield up 24-0 at half.  Cwru is scrappy but has no running game and no pressure on the passer.  Case has made many missed tackles on runs and passes.  Lindfield looks solid with wide open offense.  Many good players yet I have not observed an outstanding athlete on Off.  There are a couple of special ones on their Def.  The  only item left is that CWRU does not appear to have any weapons on Off. and their Def. is trying but lacks some skill and speed.  Lindfield is good, however, this   game does not give them a feather to put in their cap.  Lindfield is a  team that is going to be in the deep mix at the end of the yr.

With Mount and Berg having walk throughs this week the best games seem to be ONU at Cap and Musky at BW. I think JCU is going to blow out Ott.

Musky and BW are playing a clean game (no flags or turnovers), statistically pretty even, but the Fish are losing field position and trail 10-0 in the 2nd.

Devon Price is having a helluva half with a blocked punt for a TD and then a 80 yd TD catch. Bears up 21-7.

Berg scores 56 vs Wilmington... in the first half! Up 56-6 at halftime.

So I guess my Wilmington +15.5 in the OAC pick-ems isn't looking too good so far?      :)

Racked up 463 yds at half too. Mees and Brooks probably headed out to a tailgate at halftime and had a couple burgers while the back ups played.

Lots of struggling offense in Berea. BW leads 23-13 with neither team showing much offense.  No one will hit 300 yds of total offense in this one. Musky got half their scoring on a pick 6. BW got 9 points on 3 FG "drives" that were each less than 20 yds.

Really amazing stat of Berg game is Wilmington actually led in time of possession by more than 10 minutes in losing 66-12.
