off. line just can not block them,  it really hurts right now.  being taken to the woodshed.

Mount is letting too much space between the O and D line on pass plays and taking a long time before they get their first hit in.  When the defensive linemen gets momentum you will never get him to a complete stop and can only slow him down.  Its better to get a quick first hit in getting the def lineman to a complete stop.  Whitewater is doing this.

Mount is getting monkeystomped. God I hate whitewater!

Monkey Stomp = 28 pts

By 'official' rules, Monkey Stomp = 21 points.

In my 13+ years being associated with Division 3 football, I cant recall seeing a Mount Union team get pushed around like this up front (on both sides of the ball). I was expecting them to win this one being battle tested as they were this playoff run, so color me shocked.

As was said above me this is a damn good Whitewater team, as they walk in for another TD.

Time to run the ball and get it over.

I can't follow this - and yet I can't not check in every 5 seconds. It is a train wreck. I am going to say this and I will take whatever abuse comes my why. Mount is getting embarassed. Right now Mount is on the wrong end of the Lycoming Stagg (61-12) and looking like they had no business being there. Sorry - but it is what it is. I am not watching (in all seriousness thank-you WOW for not carrying ESPNU) but the score says alot and the stats SCREAM even more. The lines are getting crushed. And as I type this Burke tosses a pick-6. 52-14. I just don't see any pride. Sickening.

Mr. Ypsi

Getting perilously close to double monkey stomp territory.  I'm guessing it is AT LEAST 25 years since UMU has lost this badly.

I think that they said 1989 was the last time UMU lost by 20+.

Got our asses handed to us by a superior team....three defensive backs get three interference penalties because they have no freaking idea where the ball is....could we possibly change our philosophy on how we pass cover... The way Mount Union comes back from this will tell us whether VK has the "right stuff".

Wow, I did not expect that kind of outcome, especially after last weekend's semi-final games for both teams.  I thought it would be a very close game, regardless of who won. Mount imploded, Burke's magic ran out and UW-W just manhandled Mount in all aspects.  Anyway, good sportsmanship on both sides.  Congrats to both teams for great seasons and to UW-W players, coaches, staff and fans for their National Championship and return to the top.  I'm sure, however, that we'll see Mount and them back in the running for the final spots next year.
