Rich Rod wants him at UofA but as a preferred walk-on.  He only started full-time as a senior so he wasn't on anyone's radars.  He's getting attention from the SCIAC schools too (mostly because someone that coaches him writes for D3football.com and covers the SCIAC schools ;)  ).  He's a 4.3 GPA kid though and doesn't want to spend a year or two in JUCO.

In my opinion, he's the best QB in the state of Arizona but my opinion doesn't get him anywhere.  I've reached out to a lot of coaches in my network but not getting the traction I'd like.

RC,

Send him East to your alma mater! :)

Jason Hall out at Massillon High School...I guess averaging 8 wins a year is not good enough.  Don Montgomery is there with him. I have heard some Marlington folks wish for Monty..he may need a job now..who knows??
Massillon has thrown some really good coaches under the bus.  I have to wonder if the good folks there understand it is not 1955.  Massillon, IMO, would not dominate even Stark County any more.  Too many good schools, coaches and kids.
The expectations there are just out of whack and dated.

2 suggestions:
1) Mount - afterall KB is graduating (unless he pulls a Rocky Pentello, which I would support!!)
2) Michigan - Have not had a QB since Henne and need one!

I am trying to talk a lineman from Ignatius into Mount. I know his Mom and keep texting her that Mount is far superior to the D1 schools he has visited. Not sure its going to be successful - but it doesn't hurt to try. ;D

For the game this weekend I am not so confident it will be a barn burner - and not at all confident saying Mount monkeystomps them. This game has been on my radar since looking at JCU returners after last years game. I think special teams will play a big role. JCU has a wicked returner (the WR that I can't recall right now) and Mount has, in the past, given up some decent returns to inferior talent. JC get a couple big returns and makes it a short field and...I don't know. I will post my official score prediction on Friday. Right now I am leaning: Mount 38  JCU 31 (maybe 34).......but would LOVE Mount 106  JCU 3!

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Spreads for the final week of the regular season OAC Pick-Em have been posted.

Given the importance of the Mount Union-John Carroll game, I have deviated from previous weeks, replacing the five out-of-conference games with some side bets on the de facto OAC Championship Game.

The earliest OAC game starts at 1:00, so you get a little extra time on Saturday to get your picks in.  Enjoy!

Reality Check,   Really enjoyed the video on your QB.  Also was impressed with the receivers.  How many points did your Offense avg. per game.  What is the QB.'s 40 time?   IMHO he has Mount written all over him.  Mount's last left handed QB was very special.

I clicked the "profile" in the video link and he was listed at 6'4", 185lbs. with a 4.7 40. He looks faster in the video - maybe its competitive speed? He throws a ball very similar to Chad Henne. Looks like a moon shot when it leaves the hand. But he hit some tight spaces. Liked the accuracy.

Who all is planning on being in Alliance Saturday? I'm glad I got my tickets early as Mount Union announced they are no longer selling tickets until SRO on Saturday morning.

Mount Union and JCU football games are always memorable including the triple overtime win on the road against John Carrol in 1999 when Arth kept JCU in the game by hitting on multiple Hail Mary passes to a very tall and skilled split end who out jumped mounts defenders.

However, one memory of the Mount Union JCU rivalry that still fires me up goes back to an Autumn home game in Alliance that we arrived at a bit early and found LK all pissed off because some JCU fans vandalized the field during the middle of the night before the game.  They by spray painting a bunch of stuff on the artificial turf.  Apparently someone from ground crew found the damage early and Larry was out with some of the players cleaning up the damage.  The gates were still locked to the general public when we got there and at that time I think most if not all of the cleaning up was already completed, but Larry was still extremely mad.

I think this event took place about 10 years or so ago and if my memory I think early on the game was close until Mount started coming on strong and winning by 2 or 3 touchdowns.  My memory might be fading, but my anger for that classes act hasn't.  Does anyone else remember that event.

You know there's always fudging of numbers but Adam's a legit 6'3", 190 with good feet and very solid throwing mechanics.

We scored 70+ three times this season and averaged 42 PPG on the season, going 4-6.  You should be below .500 when you score 40+ per game, right?!?

He broke every single-season record at the school: 167/275 (61%) for 2870 yards and a TD/INT ratio of 32/9.  He also averaged 6.9 YPC and another 8 rushing TD's on 62 carries for 368 yards.

5 games over 300 passing including a 565 yard passing game (169 yards rushing and even 16 more receiving).  He totaled 750 yards in that game and set a new NFHS national record for combined yards in a game.  Was state leader in passing yards and TD's in his division.  It's also worth noting that he did this in the toughest section in the state with 3 pf the top 4 teams in the state in our "league".

He definitely made his receivers better.  #82 ended up with 890 yards on 64 catches for 9 TD's.  #42 ended up with 30 catches for 825 yards and 9 TD's.  #81 had 690 yards on 41 catches for 10 TD's.  #42 is a junior and will be special next year too.  He also led AZ in KR average (he'd lead the nation according to MaxPreps if they ever decide on # of returns to qualify but they've had a constantly changing formula for KR average).  He took 3 KO's for TD's and averaged 39.4 per return on the season.
