The poll on the front page got me to wondering what games we as OAC fans would want to see. I'm fully aware of the Wooster-Mount Union matchup potential, but are there other region or traditional rivilries that the breakup up of the old OAC have caused to be lost. Throw some out and we could vote on some here. I voted for the Linfield-Mount matchup, however I wish it had been this year or the year before. Right now it's about supper time and a Bridgewater/Mount Union matchup sounds good as long as I could cross enemy lines and get some chicken. ::)

It's only about 2 weeks late, (but I was off in the boonies), but you gotta chase the chicken down with some  . . .brownies.  You've got to show your chip off the old block that dessert is an important part of the meal.  Especially at a tail-gate.  And if we are coming to MTU, I want the heat on and a dome 'cause it was tooooooooooo cold the last time I was there and that's a fact.  Just wanted to drop in and say hi!!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Talking about annoucers attaching themselves to a teams nuts, McGuire is so far up Joe Gibbs pants he is tasting nut sack sweat.

Anyone familiar with Stark County football knows that the Kuhn name and great Louisville football teams go hand in hand. The most recent star Kuhn is going to represent Ohio in the Big 33 game vs PA. The Canton paper reported today that Kuhn is being looked at by Vanderbilt and might eventually get an offer from Akron or Kent. The interesting thing is his mom is an employee of Mount so he could attend MUC tuition-free.
Did anyone see the Army high school all-star game? Wonder if the phenom speedster from Calif was still wearing the MUC cap!

Check Ric's site for information about the Raider Recognition Rally on the 24th of January. Come get your Championship gear and get it signed and have an chance to say thanks to the young men who made up this year's awesome team.

MR. Holland got to play and I didn't see him wearing any hat other than a football helmet. The annoucers said he has good speed but that was all I heard them say about him.

You're welcome.  Hope your holidays were enjoyable.  If you are like me (and the rest of our friends here!), it is now "back to the grind", not to forget mentioning almost time for the feared "football withdrawal"!  Except, of course, here on the boards for the fun "off-season" discussions and debates. ;)

Last night Jamal Robertson was the in studio guest on one of the Charlotte Sunday nigth sports shows.  I was hoping they would get into his Ohio Northern days, but in light of the Panthers big playoff win they didn't get into that.

I watched the Panthers play yesterday and was anxious to see if Jamal got any action.  I was very happy he got the opening kick but thanks to the Giants forgetting to bring their offense to the game, Jamal had no chance to get anything else.  Oh well, he's in the second round of the playoffs.

Knowing that Goings was banged up I figured that when he went down in the 3rd quarter Robertson would pick up his carries, but alas Foster had a good day and GOings got back out there anyway.

I hear ya, withdrawals is an understatement, plus this is my "off season " as well, for about another few weeks. Felt like popping by the practice field to see if a few  driving sleds needed an attitude adjustment.  ;D Wouldnt't hurt after all the holiday food! Oh well, got the pros for a few more weeks (yawn) and then ramp up to the march madness of college basketball!

I saw the Army high school All-star game as well and saw Holland but not much said, but then they wouldn't brag up a D3 choice over D1 schools anyways! I could just see him standing at the pick table and three hats sitting in front of him, ....
"Ok, Mr Holland, the nation is waiting....what's it gonna be......
USC......
OKLAHOMA....
or MOUN UNION ? "
Holland starts to reach for USC then moves toward Oklahoma then pauses, looks up smiling ;D and grabs the Mount UNion ball cap!!
suddenly.....
PLEASE STAND BY: TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES!! (background noise  what da #$&@, I TOLD YOU, @@*$, :o OMG !!)
GAME ANNOUNCERS: "back to the action on the field folks, we'll try and get back to that interview in a few moments!!"
BTW. how about the boys coming to the buckeyes?? WOO HOO I knew Wells,(Akron Garfield) was coming and he may be an impact player out the gate, but the boy from Glenville, DE  Rose, they couldn't stop him most the day! WOW

you might have seen Mr. Holland pick up the MUC hat but now you have to guard him man to man. The bucks are doing pretty good with some recruits for next year.

According to the AFCA website coach Bob Berezowitz
from Whitewater was named DIII Coach of the Year
yesterday. This is the first time LK has not received it
after winning the Stagg. I personally thought this
year was one of his finest, considering everything.

seventiesraider

I guess that naming Coach B to Coach of the Year is a fitting tribute to a man who was visibly shaken at the Stagg Bowl. Nobody in that stadium was more confident that WW was going to win than him, which is good.

I suppose if you have to lose an honor to someone, let it be someone who has emulated, if not copied, much of what you have done and who has done it well enough to become very successful. Coach Berezowitz has clearly proved that the Kehres formula works.

If anyone knows which issue and page Mount was mentioned in Sports Illustated, I would appreciate it if someone could post it :) Happy New Year to All!
