Jim Collins was named regional coach of the year by both us and the American Football Coaches Association.

Maybe Regis deserved to be COY in the East in 2002.

Pat

I know you probably missed it but I asked a couple days back about the Year in Review.  How long til the "Best and Worst of 2005" gets released?

Have you heard anything about J Holland from CA. intertaining the thought of coming to MUC next year.

Ask Keith. He's plugging away at it.

I know that game will be in there somewhere.  I am interested in all the categories though.  It's usually a good read.

For all Mounties, I have no details but I'm told the new fraternity house was gutted by a fire today.

Please update us if you get anything. If it was the SAE, ATO or PKT houses, I wouldn't be nearly as surprised. Only pray no one is hurt.

My thoughts go out to all involved.  It's a traumatic experience even if not one was injured.

So is everybody alright?  Surely somebody can let us know womething by now.  Fire in a college setting anywhere makes me cringe!!  I still remember the Seton Hall fire.

Sigma Nu just opened a new Fraternity House this year. Joined up with the College and spent a lot on it. I just drove by it last Wednesday when I was in OH. Also saw what looked like a boarded up Phi Kappa Tau House.

It was Sigma Nu. Looks like everyone pretty much got out safely except for one case of smoke inhalation.

On a good note. Jamal Robertson had a decent stat line from Carolina's win yesterday:

Kick Off Returns       NO    AVG   TD   LG
J. Robertson             4     25.0    0    34

The Alliance Review article refers to the irony of the college agreeing to assist a fraternity in building a new building so they could move out of their old fire trap housing only to have the new one burn. Looks like a cigarette flipped into an outside trash can. Guess we're all grateful there was no loss of life.

My off campus housing burned in early 1970 so my heart goes out to them. I know how upsetting it can be.

Wes Hostetler took off yesterday for the Hula Bowl.  The game is being televised prime time on ESPN Sunday at 7:00.  Thought a few might be interested.  I got a chance to talk to him before he left and he is pretty jacked.  Just wants to make a good impression and see what happens from there...
