You guys seem to have underestimated Berg. Beating JCU 10-0

Games are more than 11 minutes long, too, though. We'll see how it finishes.

HALF:  Berg 10, JCU 7

Odd first half in Tiffin.  JCU scored with about 40 sec left in the half to avoid going to the break with no points and barely 100 yds of offense.  This is despite starting multiple drives in Berg territory.  JCU has been going I formation mostly and a fair amount of the time with double TE.  Arth is determined to run it.

As expected Berg is struggling running. Sandwisch is the leading rusher.  He's struggling throwing it (4-17 with a pick).  Lacey had a couple nice runs on their long TD drive, but little else.

Based on the football I just watched I think it's more likely an overestimation of JCU.  But 2 qtrs in the 2nd game are too little to make that claim.

Dr. Acula

Nice statement drive by Berg to open the 2nd half.  Crisp. But then the oddities continue as JCU blocks the PAT and returns it for 2. Now 16-9 Berg.

Dr. Acula

JCU wins it 23-16.  A 37 yd TD pass to Howell was the difference.  Neither team cracked 300 yds of total offense.  JCU started NINE drives in Berg territory (and a tenth at their own 47) so you have to give Berg's D credit for fighting uphill all day and keeping them in the game.

Too bad for Heidelberg that the game wasn't called after 10 minutes, would've been a nice win for them.  Are they the Student Princes, the Berg, or another nickname now?

Soggy track doesn't help the fish...a 2 play scoring drive follows a quick 3 and out by the D.  Mitchell opens the offensive series with a 53 yd run.  7-0 very early on.

Scott to Namdar from 27 yds makes it 14-0.  Tough sledding for the Musky offense so far.

Nemeth is running well too.  Scores on a 10 yarder. 21-0.

Mitchell eclipses 100 yds in the half with a 24 yd score. 28-0.

Personally, I prefer Heidi, to go with Wilma and Bald Wally. :P

BW is up 14-0 on ONU after 1.

Magazine makes it 14-7 with a 5 yd run.

Freed rushing TD makes it 14-13. PAT failed.

BW goes up 21-13. Moeglin set up the short TD with a 55 yd run.

Things are chippy in Alliance already.  Namdar is blocking downfield on a run and gets drilled in the back out of bounds.  A scuffle breaks out as Mount guys get his back.  It sounded like it was a real mess.  Al Logan even got flagged for running halfway across the field and screaming in an official's face!  Too bad this one isn't televised.

Musky's best defensive player, Chaney Fulton, has already hit the trifecta as he has a roughing the passer, an unsportsmanlike conduct and a personal foul late hit OOB.

Cap up 44-14 in the 4th...

Now we are starting to feel it.  Both distributions and scores on the OAC Pick-Em were much improved this week.

02 Warhawk took medalist honors this week with a strong 14 of 17, followed closely by a phalanx of players at 13.  This stretches his overall lead over theaprof to three.

Week #4 spreads will come out Monday night.
