Given the fact that IWU is the only presumptive non AQ ahead of John Carroll, I think this ranking positions them decently well for a pool C slot (assuming they don't get blown away by Mount)

I thought that as well - except for the Mount part. I don't think they will get blown away. I want to see Mount challenged - play well but be challenged. I know BW plays them tough more often than not but I think they are too one dimensional. JCU is different and playing better. The OTT game with JCU will tell me more about the Streaks on both sides of the ball.

Don't get your hopes up too far.  The South and (even moreso) the West are going to bring a lot of Pool C teams to the table with much stronger resumes.  I wouldn't be surprised if the West gets 4 Pool C bids.  UWP is the fourth Pool C team on deck in the West right now and would compare favorably against JCU.
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

What really kills JCU's chances are 2 losses in region. UWP has 2 right now - but also I believe a stronger SOS than JCU. If JCU loses to Mount they will not make the playoffs. Now had they beaten ONU and only had the 1 loss (like last year) then a Pool C would be possible.

John Carroll still lives in our B/C Eliminator table, but tbqh it's going to take a lot of calamity across the nation to get John Carroll into the field through an at-large invitation.  Not getting completely wiped out by Mount Union would help, but that's probably not happening.

I am Mount through and through - but just not willing to toss JCU on the heap of Mount victims yet. JCU and Arth will be prepared.

Saw this on Footballscoop.com:

Minnesota: Interim head coach Tracy Claeys notes that defensive backs coach / special teams coordinator Jay Sawvel has taken over most of the defensive coordinator duties.

Jay is a 1993 Mount Union Grad.

ONU a chip-shot field goal away from being a one loss team and a pool C contender...just saying
Why the defense ain't werkin'?

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

If ONU and JCU both end up 8-2, wouldn't ONU have the edge due to Head-to-Head?

you are correct sir

No offense to ONU, but having seen them both in back to back weeks, JCU appeared to be a much better team.  I can't figure out how ONU beat them.  Cap put up over 500 yds of offense on ONU and the score was 38-31 to start the 4th quarter.  JCU's defense dominated Cap more than Mount Union did.

Also, for the Mount fans asking about BW.  From my observation, BW's offense is better than JCU but their defense was a distant 3rd to Mount and JCU.  Having seen them, JCU and ONU back to back to back, I think they'll give Mount more of a challenge than ONU did, but JCU will give Mount more of a challenge than BW will.  I don't see JCU's offense having much success against Mount, but their defense will make Mount work harder than they have had to work all season.
