In division 1 football the schools get rated on thier recruiting class, has there ever been an attempt to keep track of what D-3 is doing.  It would be nice to know when a player commits to school.  If anything it would be nice to have a breakdown of where a player is coming from. More importantly at what level of H.S did they play at.  I know it probably is hard because many of the players are waiting for an offer from bigger schools.  Just simply having a breakdwon of there H.S level played would be nice.  Such as we got so many players from D-1 and so many from D-6 and so on.

The very nature of DIII works against that kind of reporting. Nobody is actually a member of a "recruiting class" till they pay their fees and show up for practice. As a result, most DIII coaches are shy about bragging about who they have till they have them. :)

BTW Can I see a show of hands from the people who have "voted" in the non-extistant poll on the main page? I know I did. ::)

What non-existant poll?  And thanks again.  I thought you deserved to be karmalized for your willingness to help me with my autographs!!  Especially when you didn't feel so good.
PS.  Who was that guy who spouted off about DIII football (that TEZ had the link to on the NW page)?  I was unhappy with his attitude and lack of knowledge.  I agreed with your response to his diatribe.

The teacher in you took four weeks to point it out. It happened on Dec. 31 when we changed servers.

You think that took some time, I'm just reading the September Ohio Magazine with a cover story called "Catch the Spirit" Visit three College Towns for Fantastic Football Weekends-Columbus, Bowling Green, Alliance."

Never thought of Columbus as a "College Town." Sorry Cap and Ott fans

No I have not heard anything about the appeal process since the season.  I was busy covering the East Region games and that fell off the radar.

When I got home today from my weekend, on my doorstep was a nice manila envelope from you, seventiesraider.  I eagerly opened it to find wonderful pictures and autographs!!  How wonderful of Coach Kehres to write such a nice caption on his picture!!.  My favorite picture is of the O'line!  Thanks so much for going out of your way to collect those autographs and pictures for me.  I'am really appreciative!!  I hope the big evening was a lot of fun for everybody involved!
I don't know about you, but I am ready for football and there's only one more game--next Sunday.  I'm going to cheer for Pittsburg because of Heath Milller who went to UVa.  They've had such a great run in the Playoffs. It's been a long time since they were there for the 3 rings.  And besides they are on the East side of the country.  As my teams got beaten early, I have to pick one and the linebacker who got cheated out of an interception a couple of weeks ago is unbelievae!  Well, back to the papers.  Thanks again!!

lets talk streaks, how about cal-tech's basketball team losing streak is at 237 games and counting.school is in los angeles.coach in 1/29 la times stated"the probability of us winning a game is barely detectable"what are you a rocket scientist?no,his players are !!!!!

smedindy

That's against NCAA teams only, though. CalTech did win a game last year against Life Pacific (51-49 on Nov. 22, 2004). They have won 2 to 3 games a year against USCAA or other such teams over the past decade.

The pride of Otterbein, Matt D'Orazio was on Sportscenter this morning.  He spent the last couple seasons between Buffalo and Columbus in the AFL but he's now starting for the Chicago Rush.

8 total TD's (5 TD's passing), 269 yards

Congrats to him.  It's a shame no one from Otterbein supports their school on the regular in here.
