All these predictions and not one of you seems to be considering that this year Mount Union has something to prove (unlike all the other years).  A bunch of rookies in here I swear...

Exactly
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

You mean like in the 2014 Stagg when they had to prove 2013 was a fluke?

I get it. If Mt Union is going to break the streak of UWW it will be today, in their stadium, with their fans, and with this team.  I don't think UWW will be overwhelmed like many have been in Alliance.  I don't think they will be less motivated than the Raiders.  If the Purple Raiders win it will be because they were better.  That's it.

The weather is great for the game today. Blue sky, light breeze, about 55 degrees, The Jolly Roger is up, fans are starting to party. It's a Raider Day.

Teams at this level, although motivated. will concentrate on fundamentals and the job at hand.   I asked Larry Kehres pregame once if the emotion of the team would help them in the game. He remarked that emotion sometimes gets in the way of thinking and performing without mistakes, so he was not a fan of getting a team "high" before a game.  I never considered that.

Two great teams, great programs, who will put it all on the field today.  What a great example of D3 football, character, and sportsmanship.  I'll be a wreck rooting for the Raiders, but still feel the game will be won at the line of scrimmage, where it has been proven before in these matches.

ESPN GameDay: all 4 picked Mount Union.

I am not sure if this is a good thing or a guaranteed jinx...

really wish I had made the trip for this game.  almost did but dealing with a cold would have made for a long trip back home.  will be in contact with skunksidekick during the game.  good luck to both teams and lets have a good and exciting game.

Usee,

That was dripping with sarcasm by the way.

Really good start for Mount.

Defense has held up when they had to, Taurice Scott looking confident and the Mount OL giving Nemeth some room to run.

2 pointer was a ballsy little call that might be helpful later.
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

I don't want to jinx anything here, but Taurice Scott is playing really well.

He's getting great help from the offensive line and Logan Nemeth, of course.

Mount's D and Oline were really impressive. And Nemeth was so good. Wow. Congrats

Congratulations to Mount Union.  We Wesley fans don't have to like you, but we have to respect you.  A tough team for sure.  Well done!
