We arrived down here in Shreveport-Bossier City (Barksdale AFB), LA last week.  Still living in temporary quarters until next weekend.  I brought the computer along in the van, but shipped the speakers with my household goods.  I guess that I wasn't thinking about football on the web.

All I can say is WOW. I didn't expect this at all, much like last year, I thought JCU could hang in there and keep it interesting but obviously Jorris has made his statement about being the QB for this team. Over 300 yards in a half... not to shabby.

Takeaways from ONU/BW

The Polar Bears came out about as flat as possible today.  Once they got things rolling, about 3 minutes into period 2, it was a one-sided contest.

The Polar Bears held BW to just 133 yards of total offense.

They appear to have a nice combo of thunder and lightning in the speedy Garrod and the powerful Meadows.  Both guys had very productive numbers today.

Jason Trusnik is not letting anyone down.  He had a team-high 12 tackles today, 6 tackles for loss and 3 more sacks to break the career sack mark at ONU (32 now for his career).  Trusnik has 23 tackles through two games, 12.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

jdean said it best in stating that you just kind of felt that the second half was going to be one-sided once these guys got things straightened out.  They dominated this game for three quarters.
