That's not all that uncommon for the JV team.   They haven't typically been real productive running the ball over the years.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Interesting notes on UMU depth chart:
-Poorman is still listed as starter at qb
-Hill (Fr) is listed as #2 wr...I forget where he was listed last week
-I didn't get to see much action from our linebackers on video, but I'm interested to see how they play in person. The past couple of seasons we had someone who disrupted plays here and I haven't seen it yet.

I Tweeted at Skyler Scott and this was his reply:

no, I am redshirting...I'll be back in the spring

I'm glad that Scott will be coming back, he'll fit in the TE spot perfectly IMO.

I also liked what I saw from the JV WRs. The running game was non existent, so not sure what to think there...

How about 'doesn't seem to be a Nate Kmic on the JV squad'

There shouldn't be! That would be a mistake, right? :)

I heard Rocky Pentello was making a comeback as a RB for Mount Union.

He changed his name to Ronny Pentelloski to be able to enroll as a FY player and have 4 more seasons of eligibility added to the 15 he has already used.

The last time Mount lost to BW was 1994. As we have discussed - that was the last time Mount had a Freshman at QB.....hmmm. Just saying.

Well I guess that means Mount won't win the OAC this year. Oh well.... they had a nice run.  ;D

Funny. I think that even if Mount lost to BW (and they WON'T) BW would lose to JCU and someone like Musky (cause it seems a very BW thing to do - have a shot at the title and lose a head scratcher to prevent it). Besides Mount lost in 1993 not because of a FR QB - it was one of those plagues (like the plague of toads in 05 against ONU). ;D

Ahead of the CGB, I think a chuckle at BW's expense is in order! :)

A direct quote from their website:

"On the field, BW has a tich, winning tradition. In the 112-year history of football at the University, the Yellow Jackets have compiled an all-time record of 579-3336-30 - good for a .629 winning percentage. The 579 wins are the second most of any current OAC member school."

That's good proofreading!

If you actually calculate what year that many games goes back to, its 1624! BW is apparently a hipster school. Playing football before it was even invented! ;D

Big Night Under the Lights!

4 out of 5 OAC games this week are at night. 2 of them are huge! ONU @ Berg and BW @ JCU. Anyone going to either of those games?

I know I am not going to any - though the Berg/ONU one is both intriguing and close. I am holding out til next weekend when my 3 girls and I dress in Raider gear and invade BW's campus (where apparently football has been king since 1624  8-)). Just can't pass up a Raider game that is less than 20 mins from the house and is at night (love the night games!!).

Dr. Acula

I'm trying to figure out how to watch them all.  I want to watch the OAC games and the Linfield/UMHB and all are at 7pm.  Might need to swing by the office and grab a couple more laptops!

Also, as a PSA don't forget the W&J/TMC game starts at noon.  Nice little appetizer.

*I was at the Brain Bowl in Cambridge for RPI vs MIT with LewDogg and Johnny Utes Utah.  Nice day.

Is OSU vs Okla the game of the week or is it Linfield vs UMHB? Tough call which to watch.
