Good news for CU...a local All-Ohio QB will be in camp this summer.  He has a great arm and is a great athlete who is not afraid to run.

Good.  It's about time they retired old man Pentello.

So JK and e_lee are the ones latched onto Ric's nuts?????  No wonder he has a karma in the 50's.......... ;D
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I know everyone just kids, but the Rocky Pentello situation is so cut and dry.

2001-goes to Toledo for football.  Leaves before enrolling in school; no eligibility used
2002-at Capital, injured in first quarter of first game-no eligibility used, possibly a medical redishirt? anyone know?
2003-plays
2004-plays
2005-plays
2006-will play very, very well

His four seasons in five years "clock" never started "ticking" till 2002, possibly 2003 depending on whether 2002 is or will be considered a medical redshirt year.

Does that above synopsis sound bout right to those in the know? 2minuteO?

My karma is only 12 so apparentally I have not been attached long enough.

HSCoach,

Apparently sarcasm doesn't play well in type...

Sounds like a blueshirt, more popular with JC kids. You enroll in less than 12 units practice with the team, don't participate in games. Now your clock(4 to play 5)starts in January.

good to see things are looking good for Capital in the future... I would not look for the new recruit to challenge Rocky this year, but from what i have he is a D-III Blue Chipper...  Look for Rocky to finally make 1st team All-Conference .. The Rock Show will rolllll.. Is football season ever going to come

Hey...  I changed the e-mail address here, as the other one was sending you to the big spam trash can.  I could resurrect the gist of what you asked, but not your e-mail address.  Call me a dinosaur!
Anyway...  I am at Barksdale AFB, Bossier City LA (Shreveport).  I am right on I-20, so if you come this way on your move to Arizona, you and the spouse have a place to stay.  I will even serve you a light beer in a "liberated" Fricker's glass!
As for D3 football, ETBU is about an hour east on I-20.  UMHB will be playing at ETBU in November, so I will definitely go to that game.  Looks like the best one on their schedule that doesn't interfere with a MUC game to be followed on the web.  As a "bonus," Louisiana College (about 2 hours south on I-49) will play ETBU in Independence Bowl stadium in Shreveport in October.  I just gotta get up home this summer in order to get some new purple MUC "National Champions" merchandise.  If I am gonna go to a non-MUC or OAC D3 game, there is still a "dress code!!!"
Cheers!

Ques. for MUC  people.Does the ATO house still have the spring pig roast?Last one I attended was 20 years ago,saw a buddy of mine get the crap beat out of him by a girl!!!She threw about 20 wild haymakers and everyone landed on his head!!!Then when she had the fight under control, she peppered him with jabs. All of this in front of 100-200 people sitting on the hillside. No one broke it up she just got tired , grabbed her beer and started drinking again as if nothing happened.

seventiesraider

They still do the drinking and fighting part, not sure they even pretend to roast a pig though. ::)
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Thanks for the update BillyRay.

Re: the draft

The Carolina Panthers have proven that they don't care much about me as a Jamal Robertson fan.  (Imagine that)  They release Stephen Davis and open a little space at RB and then they go and draft Deangelo Williams with their first pick.  Looks like we will have another loaded training camp in Carolina with Williams, DeShaun Foster, Erik Shelton, Nick Goings and Jamal at least.

Another funny draft note is that ESPN has ONU's Jason Trusnik listed as a prospect on their website.  If you sort by schools he's easy to find.  Maybe he declared himself eligible but didn't hire an agent so he can use his last year of eligibility.   :D

I went through the list and only saw Elliott and Allen from Linfield, Dockerty TE from Osh Kosh and Trusnik are ESPN's only DIII'ers listed.

I did notice though, and I find this funny because of the recent success of Antonio Gates, that both Jai Lewis from George Mason basketball and Ed Nelson from UConn basketball are listed as prospects from their respective schools despite the fact that Ed Nelson didn't play at UConn at all and the fact that George Mason doesn't even participate in football.

(I apoligize for detouring from DIII but thought these to be interesting enough to share.  Is it August yet?)
