I noticed that former QB Matt Lowry is listed on the baseball roster for the spring as an IF.  Glad to see he is playing.  It seemed a waste to have a kid that athletic not wearing some jersey.

Mount Union commits I've found through Twitter:
Joe Presutti C Texas
Jordan Markowski S Fort Mills, SC
Ken Roye LB/RB Cleveland Heights, OH
Nasir Green WR Phoenixville, PA
Trace Lindeman RB Milan, MI
Haydn Tanner FS Knoxville, TN (nice player!)
Jalen Griffin CB Chicago, IL
Josh Petruccelli RB Perry, OH
Ethan Dufresne-Brown OL Olney, IL
Joey Gossett RB/FS Howell, MI
Zarek Ray DE/TE Royal Oak, MI
Darian Littlejohn WR Troy, NY
Brady Maxwell G Denver, PA
Mike Kalyan LB Schuylkill, PA (AA 1st team all state)
Nate Brunson DE Blythewood, SC

A couple of guys on the oline can maul and have a nasty streak!
A couple in the defensive backfield can run, cover and hit. I can see why Kappas tweeted about adding studs to the defense.
Running backs are ok, but it's hard to tell what kind of competition they played. All are light for now.
I'll add more as I see them coming. We usually snag a nice group after the kids realize that D1 scholarship isn't really there.

*I removed the transfers I thought were included

In my unprofessional and untrained eye:
Presutti and Dufresne Brown do a nice job of playing to the whistle and move defenders on the oline.
Tanner is almost a clone of Austin White at safety, maybe a little better at not just playing the big hit too. I'm impressed with Kalyan too. He has good hips, moves and tackles well too. It's a great start to defensive side of the ball.
I'll keep updating once in awhile as I see them!
Go Ders!

Dr. Acula

I like that size on Dufresne-Brown too.  6'5" 250 means he has the frame to add some weight and still be athletic.  He almost looks like a big TE now.  I like that.  Eat up and hit the weights young man!

I like the geographic diversity out of the gate too.

KYLE MILLER, GOOD PICK UP FOR THE O LINE COACH/

Dr. Acula

Miller has a great pedigree to become a strong coach.  That's exciting news.  Welcome back, Kyle!

This isn't a current roster. The spring roster doesn't come out for awhile.

Hansen also put out his pre-preseason team rankings.
http://loganahansen21.wixsite.com/hansen-ratings
UMU at 3
JCU at 7
Heidelberg at 24
Ohio Northern at 25
BW at 56
Otterbein at 92
Muskingum at 129
Marietta at 153
Capital at 165
Wilmington at 225 (238 total teams)

His polls are usually pretty accurate with predicting results, so it's nice to see 4 OAC teams in the top 25. Hopefully, BW improves as well!

Is there any news about JCU hiring their  OC and DC of  yet??????

Not JCU but saw this on CoachingSearch.com for BW:

QuoteBaldwin Wallace (OH): Lindsey Wilson College (KY) offensive coordinator Brian Foos has joined the Baldwin Wallace staff as offensive coordinator. Foos spent seven years at Lindsey Wilson.
National Champions - 13: 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2015, 2017

Dr. Acula

According to Mount's twitter feed Taurice Scott and Roman Namdar are going to play in Austria this spring in their pro league.  There are worse things to do than hang out in Europe playing football.  Hope it's a good experience for them.

Hopefully this calms hscoach down a little bit, he hasn't been too pleased with the state of the OAC in recent years.

Some good bier and viener schnitzel makes for a good day/night.

A couple of nice tidbits:
Mount Union "commits"
Malik Britt WR Bossier City, LA
Elijah Ladson RB GlenOak (nice RB that has patience and runs hard) I watched them once and they were on 3rd string QB, we knew they were going to run the ball and we still couldn't stop him. Could be an early contributor IMO.

Nice little article on Jalen Griffin out of Chicago. Claims he had interest from small D1 schools.
http://www.talkingbaws.com/2017/02/simeon-defensive-back-jalen-griffin-talks-signing-with-mount-union/
We will see if any freshmen can contribute with lots of returning guys back.

Dr. Acula

Ladson should make a lot of posters happy.  He's a nice back plus he's that bigger back people have been asking for.  He's listed at 215 on the Rep's site and 207 on Hudl.
