I was also at the scrimmage and only saw #12 and #6 at QB

Was anyone at the JCU vs CWRU scrimmage?  How did JCU look in the first half when the starters where in?

TIA

Here we go again ... time for the 2017 OAC Pick-Em. The contest is open to anyone, whether a regular on the OAC page or not.

We pick all the OAC games, plus a few national games of interest.  OAC league games are worth 2 points; national and non-conference games are worth 1 point.

All games are picked with spreads.  I'll be posting the spreads on Monday nights for that week's games. Obviously a pick must be in before the game kicks off.  Usually this means Saturday noon EST, but occasionally I will include a compelling Friday night game or two.  Fortunately, none of those this week.  The week's results will be posted on Sunday morning.

When posting the picks, please be clear who you're picking.  "Bolding" is fine, but more elaborate methods don't print well enough to distinguish.

Let's make this Pick-Em great again!

Mr. Mom, is there a different thread to post predictions, personal message or here in their thread?

Dr. Acula you threw me off this morning with your change in pic; but I must say that Block M is pretty nice.

It was inspired by this pic of Ken Wable that I saw on Twitter.  That, and the fact that it's also a nod to my beloved baseball Raiders (they wear the block M on their hats currently) made it a no brainer to change things up.

@fishermba - JCU looked very strong.  Score was 35-0 after the half with ones v. ones.  Anthony Moeglin and Riley Larkin shared the snaps.  Larkin had 3 TD passes, Moeglin 1.  Good article on it here:

This week will be the real test, of course.

To those attending Mount home opener, the kickoff is at 12:30, not the normal 1:30 start.

KICKOFF  12:30

Spreads are posted.

hsbsballcoach7, I only post weekly results here; spreads and everything else at the OAC Pick-Em Board.  Don't want to clutter up this board of superlative intelligent chatter with actual numbers.  <GRIN>

Go D3!  Go OAC!  Let the games begin!

Poorman is the backup.

Thoughts on the 2 deep:

Obviously the headline is the above news.  I wondered when I saw that Pat predicted in Kickoff that Fulford would have the most passing yards of the Mount QB's.  We saw all 3 of those guys play last year so I don't think anyone is worried regardless of what order they shake out.  What's the saying...if you think you have 2 QB's, you have none?  Well, I think we actually have 3 QB's.

Jawanza E-M starting at RB and Ruth/Friss/Hill at WR all as expected.

Is Crenshaw hurt?  He is not listed at CB.  Other than that the starting D looks as expected with Cox and Sanders moving from back ups last year to starters Saturday.

Fitchet, who started last year at RT, has been displaced by soph Sean Sherman.  Fitchet is listed as the back up.  They have 3 sophs starting on the OL including both tackles.

Adam Pastor is listed as both the back up LG and back up NT.

It's not often that a junior pops up as a starter and you're like who the heck is that kid?  I had never heard of starting TE Joe Koscielski.  Turns out it's because he's a transfer from Adrian.  He's listed at 6-4, 230 so hopefully Miller can mentor him on how to use that size to the fullest.

I always like to check out which freshmen have made an impression already.  These guys are listed as back ups:

Josh Petruccelli (RB and KR).  Technically he'd be a starting KR since they only list 2 guys.
Mitch O'Hara (MLB)
Kordell Ford (WS)
Jalen Griffin (CB)

The transfer tight end looks like a play maker and the fr rb from perry ( lake county perry ) looks legit, I know a person with that program up there and he said he is gonna be a beast at mount..
